I've got a laptop with Vista, and i have 2 issues.
One: SC isnt working with the default Vista, i found a guild where it was written how to make it work with editin registry. But are there any risks connected to this?
Two: i find it impossible to play without a keyboard, is there any way to attach a keyboard to a laptop? Cuz it seems like there's no place to that.
Anyone who had the same porblem could help me?

Should be USB ports where you can attach a keyboard and a mouse. Unless you have a PS/2 keyboard that is.

1. Never had problems with it. Have you tried running it in compability mode?
2. USB keyboard? I assume you have a mouse attached, keyboard will work the same way. Of course Laptops dont have PS/2 ports, because thats ancient technology

2. either buy a new USB keyboard or a PS/2 --> USB adaptor.

just buy a new keyboard... pretty much every keyboard now days have USB interface.
i also have trouble with starcraft and vista. it seems like that the game sometimes will randomly crash and freeze the computer -_-.

How cant you play on laptops keyboard? You just need some time to get use to it. I like how it's easy to press keys. Improved my speed a bit :p

1. i have no problems with sc vista 2. the laptop keyboard is fine for me. just get used to it (but you definitely need a mouse lmao)

You don't need to do anything to vista to install starcraft on it. You just have to install it.
Why do everyone blame vista for their problems?

YA SERIOUSLY !!!! ITS NOT FUCKING VISTA !!!! fucking shit. I use vista for more than 2 years now and i NEVER NEVER NEVER had problems with ANYTHING.
grrrrr.....IF you are so kind and post more info about ur problem i might be able to control my anger and help you, but not if there is one more "xxx not working cause i have vista"-related comment.
about 2.: USB keyboard or "PS/2 to USB" adapter

i have vista and sc works perfect wtf?
|
dude its not vista. then you fucked up anything else.
and i bet when you had XP you didn't have the EXACT (!!!) same hardware, drivers, software, condition of ur CD,etc as you have now. so there can be thousand reasons why it doesnt work now. maybe if you install xp again now it won't work because there is another prob?..............
tell us what error msg ur receiving maybe?

StarCraft does sometimes give me a random error on Vista and close out for no reason. It hasn't happened enough times where I've researched why, though. It's only happened about 6 times in the last 1.5 years.
And another problem I had after installing SC through my Blizzard Account (via download, not CD), is that I can't run it using Programs -> SC. I have to run the Installer each time. Since the Installer already knows the game is installed, it just goes to the "Play SC" screen. I just don't understand how the Programs directory doesn't know the game is installed, but the installer does. Again though, not too big of a problem since I just shortcutted the installer.

1. yes there is always a risk as doing stuf to ur registry always have the chance of f-ing u over (i say try rite clicking on sc and then click properties and click compatibility and select window xp under "Run this program in compatibility mode for: ")
2. usb ports my friend... usb ports...
