I know we probably have too many of these, but I checked and was told that I could probably (I'm going to assume that was a yes...but I can't be 100%) post this as a blog.
Anyways one of my classmates made a Nikon ad for a contest current.com is hosting, and I said I might be able to help him get a few extra votes. You need to register to vote, so this won't be as easy, but they're not too far behind so hopefully this will give them a decent bump up.
To vote go here http://current.com/ads.htm and the ad is called "TurnMeOnNikon!" The percentages apparently mean something that I don't really understand, but all that's important are the rankings. Also if you don't like the ad at all, feel free to not vote =/ He said that he'd like to win (obviously), but if people don't feel that they deserve it then don't bother.
and thanks in advance for whatever help you may choose to give

IMO people should get banned for asking TL to own polls for reasons completely unrelated to Starcraft or Teamliquid, or even gaming in general

Yeah, I PM'd Hot_Bid and he said that it'd probably be ok in a blog. Doubt it'd get much support, but just thought I'd give it a shot =/

It's in a blog, so who the fuck cares.

I don't know, while people shouldn't go against what the admins want, we should be able to look out for each other as a community right?

I really don't understand the difference between being in a blog and being in a forum post. they both have the EXACT same amount of visibility, the only difference is that the content of blogs are usually different from forum posts, and the heading of the forum is different. this one's titled "Blogs" others are "General Discussion" etc. Really though it's all the same shit so my question still stands.

Blogs are mostly personal and don't have to be about starcraft. When reading the blogs section, you are aware of this. Blogs also don't need to facilitate discussion and can be rated.

you didn't ask a question. you said you think people should get banned for posting stuff like this, and everyone else is disagreeing with you

It's the same reason we allow completely retarded blog posts but not general threads.

I'm not really worried too much whether he wins or not, but his ad seemed pretty cool and he's an alright guy so I figured I'd help him get a few extra votes if possible.
