I'm inspired by the blogs that have been up recently and a long time ago as well. I feel this is a little differnt because I'm one of the younger people at Teamliquid. And because of my innocence and my lovely outlook on the world I won't go too personal.
I've always loved Teamliquid because it's a time waster. All I do essentially when I get home from school is get home, go on TL.net, and play bass. I don't regret this cause now I'm pretty damn good. I play a few games of Starcraft, try and play World of Warcraft and just go back to bass with a failed attitude.
My school life is going pretty well. I'm in my first year of high school and so far it's going much better than my elementary school. I've learned lessons, do's and don'ts and came out a much more experienced person. There's one problem that I've been trying to keep low in high school that messed up my elementary years. Being a year younger than everybody else. I skipped a grade due to being mentally advanced than everybody. (That advantage has disappeared now :S) People would use that against me and ultimately led to everyone picking on the inferior child.
However I've grown up with that age so I act like that age. You wouldn't be able to tell that I was younger and so far in high school, it's not very known. As far as relationships go. No. Never had a girlfriend but I think that today's generation is trying too hard to grow up too quickly. I sub-concsiously do the same but I try not to.
If you haven't known, I am Christian and I'm proud. I'm not Christian cause I was born Christian. (However True) I was raised but one day, it just made sense to be Christian. I undersand what it means to be a Christian. I am a true follower of God. Not a boy with a Christian family who was told to be.
There's my basic life. I hope that was the most un-needed, poorly structured, unfascinating thing you've ever read that you'll forget within 10 hours. But if you got something out of th is. Maybe seeing the outlook of the world from a young child, then good for you.

Quite a good post for someone of your age. Can you explain about why you found Christianity 'just made sense' ? I guess what I'd like to hear is what kind of questions you asked yourself in order to come to that conclusion. It's very interesting.

Being a year younger doesn't really matter at all, don't let it make you feel self conscious around the other kids.

lol. i'm in the same situation as you, but i still act like my age. even if i'm 5'10", i really don't care about what people think of me when i act like a freshman (currently sophomore). as long as i don't start to piss people off, i'll act however the hell i want.

This was a pretty quality post. Good to see everything is going well for you. Enjoy what seems to be *dead* time, you'll long for it later.

Definately. I really felt that it answers all my questions..
Why should I care what happens in life, it judges my afterlife... What's the point of being nice and obeying the laws and commandments. Wouldn't it be morally right? I found that to have a good life on Earth, if you follow these commandments your life will be good and meaningful.
Also. It's a great feeling to know that the creator of the Universe, the Planets, the Stars, the Galaxies. Cares about me. He cared about me so much he sent his son to die for me just so I can see him in heaven.
Babies have turned into wrongful children and wrong doing children and adults because they felt nobody loved them. God loves everyone and to fully understand and be surrounded byt that love is why I'm Christian. I;ve learned while going to large youth gatherings. There are people there who you've never met, yet they will treat you as if you're their child, or sibling.
So to those people who say "Blah Blah Blah Christianity is wrong." It says in the bible that you'll only see him with great faith. So those people who say "I'll only believe God if I see him." I just say good luck.

I was a year younger than everyone else too... Not because I was mentally advanced, just cause I was born in the fall, so it made more sense to start school a year early. Not a big deal at all.
I find it funny that you were born in a Christian family, yet you claim that has no influence on your decision to be Christian... Actually I find it stupid. From 0 to your age, family is the biggest influence. As you make your way into your teenage years, you'll find your peers have more influence on you than your family, and it'll be an eye opener for you if you start feeling less inclined to be Christian (unless all your friends are Christian... Then you're screwed for life).

What I meant by that is It did have an influence on my Christianity, but you can't truly give your heart to the Lord if you're just told to. I never said it didn't have influence. what I meant by that is unlike those kids who just go to church , stand, sing, sit down. I really embraced Christianity

I hate religious arguments xD. I'm not very good at debating. But asnwer this. If human faith is the most powerful thing in the mind. why not place it in something that means well? I'm not going to debate cause I always lose but I'm Christian and I'm keeping it that way xD

I'd like you to consider another question of mine (and thanks for answering by the way); did you consider (I mean research, study etc) other religions before choosing Christianity? When you consider the repercussions of choosing the wrong one would be so terrible, wouldn't it be your foremost concern to ensure you picked the right one and hence do a LOT of research into what religion you chose to follow?

The time of life you're in right now should be about information gathering, so you can make a more informed decision later in life (I'm 21 and still am yet to make any kind of decision, though religion in the form the bible presents it isn't doing much to convince me). Also, I find it strange you tie innocence to belief in a religion...

Time and again faith is proven to be the most powerful motivator for a human being, maybe your just looking at it the wrong way man. It doesn't have to be faith in God or any other deity you just have to truly believe in something with all your heart and mind, but I see what you are saying here. I myself am not a religious man but I do believe in certain things and those are what keep me going when I feel down or times are getting hard.
Research is meaningless into religion for some people as it was for me (though i have done my fair share) since when you feel a connection to a diety or God like that you do not want to question that with a mortal list of books. It is impossible to disprove or prove the existence of god, the quality of faith in the human life or en existence of one true path in life for every human, personally I highly doubt any of those things even exist, but that is what fucking rocks about being human, disagreeing making choices and shit.
Cheers

What I meant by that is It did have an influence on my Christianity, but you can't truly give your heart to the Lord if you're just told to. I completely disagree. Certainly it also needs to be convenient to do so, but this is why you're Christian and that's undeniable in my mind.

I miss freshman year (last year)... all i did was do my homework during class, ace tests/quizzes, come home, watch anime, play bw, play drums, play piano, occasional midnight excursions on friday nights, and attempt to teach myself how to cook. This year I've had to study for a func/analyt test for a few hours before i had everything down in my mind and this ridiculous load of ap euro + ap computer science homework is making me live for the weekends. ㅠ.ㅠ Enjoy freshman year while you still can, judging from your position you probably won't have to study more than 2 hours a week. Also, join all the good clubs early if you can like Model U.N. or Debate (if its allowed for freshmans at your school), it looks very good to have four good years of good clubs on applications, or so I'm told.
Christianity is getting kind of shaky for me, I completely quit watching porn this past summer (which was much easier than anticipated) and though I feel much better about myself when it comes to my girl peers, I'm still in the same hole with Christianity. This Wednesday is See You At The Pole if you even know what that is and I don't even feel like going because I've been having too many doubts about faith. Logic really is religion's greatest enemy...

I never said you were asking me to abandon my religion? The fact that he revealed his power to me cements my beliefs in him. One night I was feeling really depressing. So I prayed " Dear Lord, please just make me feel happy." After that. I couldn't stop laughing and smiling for the rest of the night.
Another time is when I was at a youth convention. I had the strangest feeling of my life. It felt like my back just inflated, got cold and deflated right away. After that, I was so thrilled and happy for the rest of the night. So I firmly believe in Jesus and the fact that the modern world has accpeted religion and more and mroe there are television shows tryiong to disprove Bible theories yet they simply can't. If you look in the book of Revelations, there are a lot of predidctions that are coming true. SO not only do I hold firm faith. I have little evidencxe to support mine, and millions of others faith.
