Yeah for sure, but NATO currently has to work and define what constitutes an act of war by Russia.
Is it the amount of person killed, is it the importance of the person, is it the weapon used?

A proportional response is the language of diplomacy and international policy and thats how we should respond. Send more weapons to Ukraine, more sanctions, acts of espionage and sabotage, lower the level of diplomatic relations, close border checkpoints. Its not like we need to respond with war to (even very serious) agressive actions by Russia but we MUST respond.

Ukraine was justly invaded, there is a video from 1990s of Biden himself saying that the Baltics could be invaded if they join NATO, what to speak of Ukraine. Russia swallowed it then, but not anymore, by 2030 Russia will annex the Baltics. https://x.com/Newsweek/status/1501223357701890054

Nice 2022 joke, though reality is Ukraine hasn't won a single battle in the entire war, despite having the single most potent ground force of the West that has adopted more NATO standards than many NATO members combined and that was supposed to have conquered Crimea, that is according to a former US military advisor to Ukraine since 2014.

Oh, guess that's why Black Sea fleet pummels entire Ukraine down to a EU border with impunity. Not a single Russian ship that was moved to the Black Sea since the 2014 annexation of Crimea was hit by Ukraine, you realize that right? Only decommissioned scrap for PR victory.

Ukraine didn't join NATO tho. In fact, they specifically pulled out of doing it because Russia demanded it. Their reward was being invaded. How is that "just"?

And what do you mean "not won a single battle"? The borders haven't moved in any significant way in either direction, but Russia has 3-4 times the losses. Does that signify winning to you?

While global warming is definitely trying, the northern passages are not exactly reliable shipping routes (yet), and moreover, why would Ukrainian grain ships be allowed past there? No, if the Red Sea is closed for shipping, shipments from Ukraine to China will either cease (and the grain sold elsewhere) or go around Africa.
I also suspect that one of the reasons Ukraine's shipping increased is because the tattered remains of Russia's Black Sea fleet fled into the Sea of Azov and are bottled up there, completely incapable of still blockading Odesa. Russia can still fire missiles at the port infrastructure or at actual grain ships, but it seems that Ukraine is capable of sufficiently protecting them for ships to risk the route.

I know you're a troll, but just for the sake of it, here is a list of battles in Ukraine since 2022. There is a not insignificant number of Ukrainian victories: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_military_engagements_during_the_Russian_invasion_of_Ukraine
Most notably: Battle of Kyiv Battle of Kharkiv Kherson counteroffensive
Those seem like battles that were rather conclusively won by Ukraine. Not to mention the Black Sea situation being extremely embarrassing for Russia (and putting them at severe risk of losing Crimea, a major reason for fighting the war in the first place).

The north route is mostly unrelated to Ukraine. I was more thinking China to Rotterdam or one of the large UK ports. Basically China or large multinational freight companies financing big icebreakers and the processes required to navigate it at scale.
As I understand it Ukraine is underwriting the risk of shipping in the black sea. Lowering insurance premiums since they take up a lot of the cost in case something goes wrong. Secondly multiple European nations are doing mine clearing to ensure safe passage in open water.
