Rets ZvT is the most similar to the the style pro gamers use, with good micro and pretty good macro. Gosia looks impressive because of his mass drone/macro style, but his style is to macro heavy imo. Mondragon played almost no T's and the games he played were more him out strating/beating smart then his oppts then due to great micro/macro.... Mondragons ZvT is impossible to learn much from because it is so based on his feel for the game (alot like his ZvP). Machine has a few impressive ZvT's but he is to safe sometimes Incontrol is probably the best for any C- or lower zerg to learn from. Very straight foward ... no complication style. Macro/Timming heavy and not very reliant on muta. Much easier style for players to imulate then Rets. Overall in terms of skill ZvT I would rate them in this order ... Ret,Mondragon, Gosia, and control .. ( just my opinion , not based on any fact other then watching, the other zergs I watched very few replays so I can't judge, DinoT is also good I just can't rate him as I only have seen 2-3 reps)
Thank you good sir, can't wait to check the replays out.
I recently switched to zerg, so I have a looooot of things to learn now.

I just start watching the Mondragon replay pack and in his 5 game vs Arew, Arew upgrade armor instead of weapon. Do armor is more effective when you know that the Zerg is going for a fast carapace upgrade?
PS : Funny how Arew let the zerglings run by in the FIVE games^^

With +1 armor it takes 3 shots from a sunken instead of 2 and 3 shots from a lurker instead of 2 to kill a marine. You can imagine what difference this makes considering the firing rates of sunks/lurks

I believe arew is toss, and that he is referring too ZvP.

Anyone know if Nazgul made a reppack of his games? I think it would, along with Legionnaire's, be the most interesting rep pack in there for sure.
|
still havent be watched all of even one persons rep pack lol let alone the 10 i downlaoded ;(
|
I use them as tools. If I'm losing on a certain map say Andro ZvT, I'm going to watch 3-4 reps from a couple different zerg players, notice the flow of the game and move on. Mondragon is the only zerg that I watch purely for entertainment.

awesome!
edit: which are good Ts to learn from?

As a mid-level zerg user, I've started to watch inControl. Is there anyone else I should watch?

Castro!
His ZvT style is so precise and timing based, and I feel it's an excellent emulation of the korean 3hatch muta into hive style. I haven't watched/played much recently, so this style is probably obsolete to some gay Terran shit though

I'd throw in Haypro to the mix.
Haypro/dinot/castro etc.. all the young zerg's of today are going to do the same korean style. It's fine to watch but you will only get variation with a mondragon or perhaps myself. Not that the korean style is bad or anything! There is a reason why it is the cookie cutter z style
