I’ve known about this glitch forever but I’ve never seen anyone effectively use it in a real game. Apparently ZeLoT has been doing some crazy troll timing pushes with this.
This is done by queuing a tank and spamming lift off immediately afterwards. If done successfully you will have a floating factory with a qued tank. Simple switch this factory out for your second factory and you are now building two tanks from two factories with one mac shop.

This trick is really old. You could use it on LT to "fly" your tank to the expo cliff. Definitely not a bug allowed by KeSPA nor ICCup back then. If it's the same bug as before you can also spam move and lift as it's landing to build the queued unit while the building is flying, the unit will spawn where the building last landed.

You mean the tank can complete while the factory is in the air?
If it's the same bug, then yes. You could use that to build 2 tanks at a time without halted production, just requires a lot of actions/attention to do. Maybe worth it for a tight 4 tank timing. People r gonna hate u if u do this on ladder lol, but not like the 1 intern is gonna care 2 shits about it.

You are right. I just tested it. You can build in the air even. In 1.04 you did not have to do the fancy Land and Move it would automatically build in the air. But in Remastered you have to.
Old bug but the switcharoo does require some legit APM to pulloff meanwhile doing other stuff. Also its not guaranteed to get a tank and can accidentally liftoff without a tank and waste more time.
I at first thought it was a new bug where you could link factories to same shop 😂 that would be insanely useful and absolutely fixed by Blizz.
As for how to do the bug you have to slightly click liftoff before tank hotkey. I think it even requires latency (cannot be done in SP).
This bug also works with other units. The trick map specifically uses goliath that has to be built on the exact spot factory was placed meanwhile building is in the air. Thats done by rightclicking anywhere with the factory when its trying to land. It will then liftoff and start producing the unit.
This bug could be abused on teamgame maps where you land 3 barracks with firebats queued and fly away after landing. 3 bats will popout and the guy will be "wut?" and probably lose all workers 😂

All Single Player in the video I posted above your comment. I did use Slowest Speed but that's just because I'm slow pretty sure it can be done on normal speed too if u click it fast enough:
Now for the (philosophical, because it won't happen in practice) elephant in the room: Should this be patched out? Flying drones should certainly have been patched out, as they were, because they were too strong and bad for the game. A buff for the overall strongest race, which this is, is not really in order, either.
Having said that: This is sick and I will now learn how to do it in single player

Still not allowed in most leagues since we use the ICCUP list of accepted bugs. I believe this was called terran sliding buildings?

Silding building was a hack/bug that used some scanner canceling gimmick that allowed you to then slide the cc closer to the mineral fields than it can be landed/placed, making your mining that much quicker.
Edit: I guess I dunno shit or ppl use weird terminology. "Terran Sliding Buildings This glitch allows Terran buildings to lift off and move while producing units."

To shamelessly promote my version 1.04 glitches video I did it there too. It was pretty simple to execute. Land, queue movement to desired location and spam stop is one way to do it. I'm guessing your method is later on trying to bypass the patch that fixed it.

Ppl definitely used weird terminology. The only reason I sorta remembered it was what OP mentioned was because someone explained it to me years ago and I thought "well that s a dumb name" ^^ We ll edit the rules to make it clear in BWCL
In my opinion game should be patched, so that u only need to have one machine shop to build tank in any factory... fricking 250 / 150 building investment to build one tier 2 unit at a time. Not mentioning build space in main.
