DI banned in China over one tweet. NetEase might not get a license to publish any games in China for the next 3 years (that would include D4, OW2 and WoW:DF).

I saw someone else's translation that said the game's license was only suspended for the time being. Not actually banned. From my understanding Banned = not coming out at all; suspended = will come out at a later date.

Unfortunately this seems to be a succes story... It reminds me of those gambling streamers. They spend millions and it doesn't even matter if they lose, its training viewers' brains to respond with dopamine to the loop that matters. I wouldn't be surprised if half these streamers are paid by Blizzard to do their 'blizzard sucks' thing.

I love Final Fantasy, and Square Enix has put out at least twenty F2P P2W mobile games, and I guarantee you most Final Fantasy fans have never even heard of them and don't care. And because of that, most of them are shelved or shut down. Same thing with other F2P mobile spinoffs.

I left hearthstone behind when I had social arrangements, but always had in back of my mind, I need to login just to re-roll a stupid daily quest, or play because my daily quest section is full. Just don't play these games. Also this was the downfall of wow, when daily quests was introduced... Fuck I hate it so much. I was fine with Hearthstone when it was just dailies. But now you need to do dailies + weeklies to keep pace with previous gold income. I can only do one of these games at a time and there's another one I currently find more interesting than Hearthstone. Kinda burning out and getting annoyed at it. With that said, I know someone who's having fun with it currently. But he's the kind of casual player who never spends money, will play something until he gets tired of it and then drop the game for something else. Heard it could be good before the endgame.

Play till lvl 60, play maybe a few paragon levels afterwards to play around with builds, see it as a prequel to D3 that you mainly play freestyle casually. Ignore all the mobile game p2w shit and don't even think about competing. OR, you know, just avoid playing games like this in general? I mean, sure, whatever floats your boat, mate, but one of the main problems I see is that too many people are still sinking hours of game time into crap that's specifically designed to be a donation app with extra steps trying to prey on psychological weakness when there's (still) other games out there that genuinely try to be a decent GAME first and foremost.

Didnt they literally cheat with "maphacks"? You can't generate items using money in D2. As for bots and maphacks, they are just what you called them : cheats, and not allowed. Players who attempt to use them are cheaters and may be banned, their accounts deleted.

I see it like, it doesn't matter whatever favor players wanna trade for in-game items, you can't even know about it. So if whatever item shops online are getting their items by playing the game or buying them from players or w/e, its ok, if it's a cheat, the cheat must be banned. Wouldn't mind if the game company is trying to track down the (shop) website but I don't care. Don't think I'd personally ever want to play a game where you can generate items by buying them with real money though (other than cosmetics..), huge deterrent anyway.
