That's incredible, I'd love to see highlights of this! I'm glad there's no bunker rushing in poker

I was thinking of posting this too. He started heads up play with a significant chip deficit and managed to bring it back.
I'm pretty sure you can see Boxer on the rail in a couple of the photos as well.

Nice to see him take 1st place and the mention of StarCraft in the article.

But what has he been doing all these years?

Holy shit, that's big! And it happened on 2022 - on year with motherfucking three 2s!

I wonder how this works for Yellow since from what I know gambling is illegal in Korea except in one casino. I also have seen on the news how celebrities were caught gambling outside the country and had to go on hiatus afterwards because of the controversy.

Woo hoo! Great win!
Doesn't Boxer also play poker now? And Elky is such a beast as well.

He’s a Korean tv personality.

How large are poker prize pools/1st place finishes for major tournaments usually? Don't follow it at all so I have no idea.
But that's a lot of money, congrats to YellOw! KT best KT

Just looked him up, very interesting. Glad to see another ex-pro doing well.

I'd probably put this tournament as about a 7 or 8 on a 1-10 scale. Definitely on the higher side in terms of profile and payout in my opinion.

Hmm... Now that I think about it, there's hardly any Korean poker pros that I've seen or know of. Whereas I've seen couple of Chinese and Japanese on the scene. That's quite interesting, if the Korean government takes a super strict stance against even pro poker players. Which is in stark contrast of its rather active and liberal support for other sports (golf, shooting, cyber games, etc). Of course, card games being so closely so associated with gambling is a different kettle of fish, but it's still fascinating nonetheless.
