110k for a pre-season game between united and rm held at the university of michigan's american football stadium
fwiw america is lucky that both share similar field dimensions because if american football was played on an oval then there'd be a lot more logistical problems
I believe it also holds the record for the largest attended spectator of a El Clasico match. Over 100k watching a soccer game. In the United States not in Europe mind you.
Bayern is actually really pulling off some moves here.
Getting Mane for 32m€ fixed+9m€ bonus A guy of his quality moving into PL would easily get 50m+. But with Liverpool already having made their transfer to publicly show that Mane is now surplus, this was obviously pushing the price down, below the price Pool paid for him, even though he really developed well with them. At the same time, now Bayern has already solved their potential Lewa departure. Imagine reshuffling the timeline, where Lewa was already gone, Darwin was not yet at Liverpool.... What would have the price been then?
Then selling Roca to Leeds for 12m€ fixed + 5m€ bonus. Roca, who many probably didn't even know as a Bayern player. A guy they bought for 9m€, basically never played (because he never really convinced) and now they somehow still make a transfer plus on the guy...
I'm a bit surprised that there wasn't more visibile competition on Mane. You'd think he can fit into most systems with the work rate and skill set he's got.
News around here say its pretty much a done deal that PSG took another of our young players, paying Vitinha's release clause and giving the kid a 5y deal.

I wonder at what point FIFA/UEFA will finally consider conflict of interest to be a risk. Probably never.
rb salzburg and rb leipzig were drawn into the same champions league/europa league group one year and "after investigation" found absolutely no conflict of interest to be a risk of jeopardizing results so yea won't ever happen.

And two days ago they promoted Girona to la liga first division. The City football group is everywhere.

Eh you can make a chinese wall and not make it an issue. The sporting sides of both teams would be sufficiently motivated to do as well as they could for their individual success.
When the draw is taken the wall comes up and everything is legal. One case of a corporate structure that is beneficial in this case.

Nothing so far. We are lacking at least one top end CB and help around the midfield.
So far nothing of the sort is on the horizon and quite frankly, probably wont be.
Poor coach will have to make due with what is left from last year plus some loans that might get back. It's not going to be a pretty year.
(for some context, the club is being subject to a lot of financial pressure. we have sold several players for high amounts over the years but we have paid a gigantic amount of money in commissions and transfer fees to agents, friends, family, etc and that coupled with overspending on salaries a few years ago means that the club these days isnt doing that well and doesnt have that much margin for negotiating and keeping players).
