And for China as well aside from Mihu and my former clanmates Fengzi I didnt know many people, cool to see more of them facing each other. It has some sort of WCG feel of old

This took waaaaaay too long and the hype is close to zero now for me because of it and also because of the group draw "seeding" or rather lack thereof which defeats the whole purpose of regional qualifiers anyway. It's a shame.. but hopefully BSL 16 will be back to the original, tried tested and working well format. Thx for hosting and all the work nonetheless, of course. Cheers

Maybe amount of work didn't gave results as I planned, but who knew. I think there are a lot of people who didn't like it simply because of not all the cast being on twitch - so it required 'too much work' to launch the stream somewhere else Anyway, for those who didn't like this format, you can approach it as every continent championships were RO24, and now we are getting into RO16 - with extended format where top3 advances to double elimination bracket.

I didn't like the draw for the global finals groups, it would have been better if each group had 1 player from each region. Maybe not as exciting to watch the draw then (lots of re-drawing) but it would make more interesting groups, and we just saw some players fight in their region and now they're in the same groups in the global finals, that feels wrong.

Totally agree with you on both points.

As for the other point raised here about the group draws, sure something could maybe be done better but guys give zzzero some slack and have some faith. Organizing tourneys is now literally his job. I'm sure he'll think of something very exciting going forward. Personally I'd like to see more of the "seeds" then get to do one swap in the groups as they like, similar to ASL. I know that BSL is a global event and that may be hard to accommodate live but it doesn't have to be live imo. Can happen over a week as well without losing any of the hype.

Let us not complain that there is too much quality BW content; the more the better so we can choose with ease. I like the new format for that reason - it supplies me with options that were not available before it. I sincerely hope it stays like this.

Otherwise I like the format and feel very grateful to the whole BSL team and especially ZZZero that they keep doing BSLs as awesome as they do

1, Mr. ZZZero mentioned that the new format is to solve the time zone issue. It actually can't. Season finals will still have the same time zone issue. The regional championship is just another formalized BSL ladder selecting players into Season finals, which can't help with time zone issue in Season finals. 2, It's not sustainable in the long term in terms of prize pool. Prize pool should be proportional to number of games played. It's good that in this format, more players share the prize pool, but since there is still rarely any new player, should we just concentrate more on Season finals to generate more hype? and also if it is still like this in the long run, players would rather play one or two sponsored games every now and then rather than those long tournaments with disproportional return. 3, A minor issue. if liquidpedia is correct, why NA championship has 2.4 times the prize money of other continental championships? it's discrimination.
