I'm sure you are right, T1 even looked good in a lot of plays. Exciting that g2 is probably the next betting favorite.

Have they discussed what would happen in the hypothetical that RNG gets knocked out of groups (very unlikely) or in the semis (possible if RNG plays T1 or G2)? Do they let the finals get played on LAN or do they just say the players are "used to" the ping

G2 losing to PSG is actually really bad news for EG, who are fighting to grab the 4th seed for knockout stage.

He's gotten caught out numerous times, and even a team like T1 will be punished for that. I think if they pull it together, they still have the best shot at winning MSI.

yeah gumayusi looking bad this tournament. huge upset for psg but in the end i think eg will still come 4th.

Idk, PSG just has to beat EG in the rematch to get a tiebreaker (assuming EG wins no more games which is a fair assumption) and PSG still plays the Buffalo. Assuming PSG beat SGB tomorrow it will most likely be a bo1 for the 4th place spot on tuesday

wowwwww g2 lost to psg again. bye bye eg lul

G2 drafts are just utter garbage. I don't understand why they keep running this Kalista, she is useless if you don't play her perfectly vs heavy engage comps (Guma has looked terrible on her as well). And I think Caps died with flash up 5 times this game.
|
yeah i think g2 should just be drafting heavy teamfight comps. none of their games have shown that theyre good at using lane priority and outmacroing. even the t1 game they got completely outmaneuvered until their comp eventually allowed them to just force an engage and win.
|
what the fuck at t1s calls? t1 going from invincible to daeny t1 in the span of a week.

this rumble stage is crazy. inconsistent performances from all teams but making for some entertaining matches. would have been cool to see saigon take the rng game. t1 suddenly remembers how to play spring season style and rolls g2, meanwhile g2 cant seem to find their rhythm anymore

But T1 is not as consistent as RNG, they have the early macro and laning power but lack overall macro (which is insane, they have Faker and Keria, how is their macro so poor at times).

Don't think I've ever been as hyped and let down as this G2 run at MSI.
|
rofl eu vs na should never be a discussion again. imagine losing to that draft and a team thats 0-4 prior to the match.
|
Lessons I've learned this MSI: East grows stronger, understanding their opponents, while the West gets exposed hard after the first showings. It feels like EU and NA burned hard, while KR and CN just warmed up slowly.

These were some pretty depressing 2 days for the West, felt inevitable after the second half of the rumble stage but it still hurts.

so happy t1 rolled g2 like this. feels like good payback for the times g2 knocked t1 out of tournaments. i hope t1 3-0 rng as well. would be so satisfying to see rng get smacked in their own practice house
|
GALA is too good to let them win 3-0.
|
Was it really that depressing for EG though? Sure I could see wanting them to win a few more games here and there but they showed up trying to prove they were the 4th best team here and they proved beyond a shadow of a doubt they were. All in all a successful tournament for EG. Yes taking exactly 1 game off of major regions isn't good, but EG was supposed to be having a developmental split with a brand new to the game mid laner in the first place.

shocking draft from t1 in game 5. dont know why they insisted on ahri when liss has already shown in the series that it completely nullifies ahri's presence, and not banning gwen when its such a failsafe pick for bin. performances were bad all over the map in game 5 too but you cant do much when you give up kill pressure in every lane you have just to hope to scale to late game. the style of drafting in game 5 was the exact opposite to what t1 obsesses about. sad
|
Yes, completely agree. Draft was a complete disaster. You don't pick Jayce into Gwen, when Zeus has been known to play better champs into it. I honestly thought Lee would've been a better pick for Oner as well, the champ in itself did not looks convincing to me at all the entire time it was played, where Lee almost always showed up. Ahri pick was just blasphemy, really don't understand what the thought process was there. Yuumi pick was fine, Zilean might've been better, but I'm not sure what Jhin was supposed to be.
Their entire comp needs to stomp early and Wukong doesn't have that much agency pre 6. Fact that Jhin/Yuumi lost lvl 2 (or was it 1 even??) vs Trist/Rakan is just a disaster.
