Played Santhrax in losers final against Smoothviper (Santhrax, Row) which he wins (I guess 2-0?). Matrix in grand finals against Chunksta (MSS), wins first set 3-0, wins second set 3-1.

Biggest diff will be whether your arcade has english ver cabinet or japanese.

jab (LP) strong (MP) fierce (HP) short (LK) forward (MK) roundhouse (HK) LP MP HP LK MK HK The only difference is the angle/curve of the layout... American setup will look pretty much like the above diagram. I could use my crappy webcam to take a pic of each type of stick if you wanted to know the exact "curve" of the typical Versus/Astro City layout, but it's the same relative placement on the buttons.

Japanese Those two are the most common, no? And the Japanese have more variants. Unless you mean button function layouts.

Since I'm a snob and all, I would like to point out that the American stick layout typically has buttons a bit further from the stick than the Versus/Astro City layout (which is what you'll normally see for a Japanese stick). For reference, the HRAP2 and HRAP3 follow that layout- the buttons you're going to use most often are like an inch from the stick, whereas on a MAS the buttons you'll use are maybe 2 inches away from the stick. Strangely enough, some cabs have a different layout for P1 and P2, though most head-to-head cabs use just the P1 or just the P2 layout for that particular cabinet style. Speaking of sticks I'm finally getting the fancy Seimitsu blue PS-14-KN (transparent screw-in) buttons for my stick, so I'll be trying to hunt down a spare case to put my current (but still good) Seimitsu PS-14-GN and my HRAP2's original Sanwa JLF into.

btw HRAP1's distance is farther away than RAP2.

Though apparently there is some Japanese cabinet type that matches the HRAP1... though I've never played on it before, lol. Not a huge fan of the HRAP1, especially since the HRAP2 came out. So now I'm debating if I should send my spare buttons/JLF to a stick-builder I know to build me a fancy custom with them, or spend a bit less money and get a used Virtua Stick High Grade... the VSHG is a PS3 stick and I don't have a PS3, but I could either mod it or just use it for computer games... Custom stick is probably a better idea anyhow, they look way nicer when well-made. The VSHG just looks so sleek, I like the look more than the HRAP. Too bad Sega will never make that particular setup for PS2, nor will any company be pumping out good PS2 sticks in the near future.
