In addition, cloaked wraiths are a common counter to ledge guardians because the Zerg won't research overlord speed with it. Even if the Zerg has an overlord over the ledge, you can spend one irradiate on it, and then kill the guardians while invisible (doesn't matter what Zerg attempts to guard them with) | ||

For upgradfes, you use 2 armories in this build. First reasarch +1 weapon ground / air, then +2 air / +1 air armor, then max both attack. You generally dont need +2 ground so fast, since you only defend with siege and vultures in ride are used to destroy shields (wraiths are used to destroy canons hit points). After u get 4 gas bases, you can start switching to bcs and increase ground production, especially tanks. Make only around 6-8 bcs in mix, since they are mostly used to get attention of dragoons and help dealing with zealots. Also bcs destroy carriers in similar numbers, thanks to yamato. The build is extremely difficult to execute, but fun to play. I never do that if latency is worse than 20 low. Use at your own risk. | ||

I've not seen any BCs in ASL though. Any examples of games between top pros? | ||

In late game, terran takes soo much apm to micro and macro. using BCs reduces that microing amount tremendously so that is already an advantage in it self. Similar to how ultras make zerg easier to micro, due to less units needed | ||

Some ppl say there’s a lot of Terran air unit play in TvZ and TvP, but I think it’s rarer than they believe. In a lot of games, the most frequently built Terran air unit is the Sci Vessel or sometimes the dropship, lol. It probably goes back to the 1.04 patch, where Blizzard nerfed Wraiths’ ground attack (Scouts’ too). Never much understood the reason for that, since there’d be corsairs and valks to take care of roving packs of wraiths and scouts. Unless Bliz was worried about Zerg not having good enough and early enough counters for same? Maybe? But at the same time, Bliz didn’t nerf the Mutalisk ground attack any… so now you know why when you see tactical air units used en masse in a game (wraiths, scouts, mutas), it’s usually by Zerg. TvT is an exception, but you implied that already. | ||
