The TL writers and editors put more effort into that than anything I'd worked on previously. Olli, Wax, TheOneAboveU, Cspiral and more (shoutout to Hexhaven for the very Finnish title we ended up not using ) put in the time to ensure we paid homage to Serral's incredible achievement. It's good to see people keeping the immensity of that tournament (and year) alive and well. What a great year 2018 was!

But I disliked the amount of footage taken from the ingame cinematics. In a classic sports documentary it would be bizarre to take footage from a FIFA commercial to "hype up" the grand finale of the documentary. The random interviewees from the HSC also felt out of place, not because they are just fans but rather that what they said. I think I would have liked it a lot better, if they only used real-life footage (mabye apart from casting scenes in the final vs. Stats) and made it five minutes shorter. In general it seemed to me that it was not entirely sure at which target audience the documentary was made for.

The in-game cinematics just felt out of place... strange choice of music as well. Also, Serral walking through a forest or going for a row could be interesting if it was explained why this was happening or relevant. The whole thing felt like it was missing a script and an editor with a clear vision of what he wanted to tell about Serral.

Ill do a summary with lines; Positive: + Its Serral + Serrals family included with some interviews + Footage from home and from cabin(?) + Some comments from casters and fans + Always nice to feel again the 2018 finals hype ! Could be improved: - Too much ingame demos. Using one or two times is ok, but now it felt that it was to add length to the documentary ? - Too few questions from Joona about anything. We all know he is a man of few words, but some more could have gotten out from him surely; relationships with other players ? how is his relationship with his brother now ? what are the main goals in the future ? how is the game status in his opinion now ? etc etc.... - Practically no tournament footage. This is imo the biggest thing that was missing from the doc. The travels and backstage stories from different tournaments. Interactions with other players, fans, casters etc. There would be massive amounts of stories to be had there, since Serral was so active in the tournament scene - More insight from Casters, tournament organizers, Interviewers (Hi Smix !), other players from Serral. How do they see him at tournaments and in RL. There propably would be tons of content to get here also Dont get me wrong, I loved the documentary. And since it was prolly made with little to no budget and with little team, its a good opener for sure. But there is a lot to improve also, and hopefully some day in the future we could get a bit more complete documentary about Joona. Its what he and us fans surely deserve.
