That's good because it shouldn't ^^ Maybe it was a cache thing.

It bugged. Should be fixed now.

OK important question here.
How necessary is it to acquire copyright permission for adding vods to the LP that are in some cases very old? More importantly, how important is it to acquire copyright permission when the event organizer either no longer exists or is no longer directly involved in esports?
I ask in regards to filling in some blanks for missing vods for some Wings of Liberty era events, mostly involving IGN ProLeague.

Assuming you only add a link from our website to the vod we do not require permission for that. We would only require permission if we were to upload them directly onto our wiki server.

Directly to the tile of this thread: I have some serious feedback.
Y'all are fucking dope. I won't waste my time listing all the advances that Liquipedia has made since its inception many years ago, many that I have witnessed as a user and as a viewer in many of the eSports that it covers. I won't waste my time talking about specific admins/staff that I know through their helping me, through the much-missed YourLetters, through other TL interactions. Y'all are ALL fucking dope. And y'all have done a lot of great work over the years, and you should be proud.
Fuck yea.

Why were virtually all instances of StarTale replaced with Afreeca Freecs in the SC2 Liquipedia? I understand that was a name chance but that didn't happen until 2016. It makes more sense to leave it as StarTale for 2010-2015 unless they were officially called Afreeca Freecs at the time. This is particularly in regards to the changes in the GSTL events when they were most certainly NOT called Afreeca Freecs.
I don't get this change at all...
So it looks like all the old StarTale logos and info in the SC2 LP that were previously fixed by hjpalpha got changed to (afreeca) Freecs again. When the new Freecs logo & info was updated it automatically clobbered all of the fixes to StarTale in brackets and line-ups.
HELP!! (any way to stop Freecs updates from clobbering the old ST info?)

I created this tl.net account via Reddit. As a result I don't have a password and can't sign in to Liquipedia. Is there a workaround for that? I am ok with making a new account, just wish this was made clearer when I created the account

If you are logged in on TL.net, there should be a button on the Liquipedia login page that says "Login as khiyorimi". If there isn't, try disabling any adblockers, script blockers or similar things, as they sometimes mess with it.

Hi I'm an overall esports enjoyer - I think it would be good to have a list on the main page down the side with something like top 10 current tournaments sorted by prize pool, regardless of what esports it is. I'm keen to watch high stakes esports tournaments, regardless of what game it is.
Thanks.

Hi, would I be able to get some help with the BW Liquipedia? Here's what I'm looking to do, if possible:
I've noticed that a ton of the VODs linked throughout the BW wiki are either of poor quality, split into multiple parts, privated/deleted on Youtube, link to archived TL VOD pages, or are nonexistent. I know it's a massive undertaking to update and add everything, so I want to focus on one subset (albeit large and notable): MSL.
I want to see if it's possible for one of the devs to generate a list of MSL VOD links and their corresponding metadata (players, races, date, maps, etc.) and send it to me, or if y'all are okay with it, let me flex my ten years of Python coding skills to build a basic web scraper to grab the data I'm requesting.
My reason for requesting this is that I want to: 1. Gather a list of all VOD links to see what source they link to (Youtube, TL, other sites, or none), if available; 2. Check all linked videos to see if they are live, accessible, complete, and at the same or higher quality as the videos from the MSL torrent collections, and if not, use the metadata collected with the VOD links to determine the matches that need updated VODs (done completely by me, of course); 3. Grab the VODs from the MSL torrent collections and upload them to Youtube on an account I haven't used in over a decade that will be specifically for Brood War VODs, removing content such as opening music where necessary to prevent copyright strikes (this looks like it'll work because there are 10+ year-old MSL VODs in rough quality, so I assume my uploads won't be taken down); and 4. Update all VOD links on the MSL pages to link to the videos I upload.
Is this something that y'all would be fine with? I would really love to contribute something significant to the community.
Thank you!
