Hi guys, I am sponsoring two show matches of Dewalt vs. Chinese players on Wednesday Oct 20th,10am EST.
The 1st match will be Dewalt vs. Jaystar (40 years old ex-pro gamer in China, 2432mmr as of today, we call him "the old gun" in China. Really nice guy and most likely the strongest player in the 40+ years old group). 2nd match will be Dewalt vs. DuGuQiuBai. DuGu used to be the no.2 zerg player in China, and he was the only player who beat Mihu in any tournament finals in the last 2 years. He took a break from BW and just came back a few weeks ago. He managed to beat Ample (ASL participant) last week 3:2.
I sponsored several matches for Dewalt previously. As far as I can remember, Dewalt lost to Leilei 0:2 and won Jaystar 3:2 in 2018. And most recently, Dewalt played against Caicaizerg (yes, the only bonjwa in China lol) earlier this year and Sanpao streamed the last two games. Dewalt won by 3:1.
Hopefully, we will have more and more show matches. Playing on BN China with NetEase UU booster seems to be the best solution for now, although it still lags from time to time. Please let us know if you came across a better booster/VPN

Great initiative, Looking forward to the Showmacth. One question, are there young Chinese players with high MMR, and potential to unseat the old players?

Fantastic initiative, indeed. Happy to see more China vs EU matches in the future. Quite refreshing. Thanks!

I see...And it will be very difficult to help Chinese players to install, register and use a new platform in English. I was hoping to find an alternative for BN China, as obtaining new BN China IDs is not easy now. The ID has to be bundled with a cellphone number in mainland China, and every time you try to log in from a different location, you need to enter a verification code which is sent to that number.

DuGuQiuBai is only 25 years old, and he is already playing at a very high level. I hope he can continue playing as the BW community in China has never been so supportive as it is now. Another candidate is Xuanxuan, 23 years Terran player at ~2300mmr. His issue is that he focuses too much on his matches with Caicaizerg, and we joke that he specialize on "Terran vs. Caicai". He is building up his fan base, although I tried to discourage him from practicing and focus on getting into graduate school instead...

Thanks for organizing man. Will Dewalt be streaming his games on his Twitch channel for people to watch?
Any other links for people interested in JayStar or DuGuQiuBai's pov? Perhaps the matches will be casted by another channel as well?

Thanks for the reminder! Let me add links.

Some intro of the players today from my replies in another thread:
Xiaoshuai: very strong zvp player. Inconsistent zvt. Good zvz. ~2400-2500 mmr.
Busterran: top 4 terran in China. Best known for his strong tvz, when he nuked Caicai countless times and made Caicai haters go insane. Solid tvp and tvt. ~2500mmr. He seems to be out of shape at this moment due to lack of practice
Kukuboy: one of the audiences' favorite. He can absolutely win anybody and lost to any weaker players. He is best known for his rival with Caicaizerg, when each game can easily last 1 hr. His highlights include his victory over Sorry (ASL participant) by 3:0. 2300-2400mmr
Qiaogege: currently the best pvt player in China. ~2500mmr

Apparently BSL-Prettygirl is Qiaogege who played Dewalt earlier today. Along with Mihu, looks like we got at least two prominent Chinese gosus in the BSL ladder qualifier so far. Hopefully they stick around and tolerate any lag
