I don't get what those Karma changes are supposed to achieve on the positive side.

I was quite puzzled reading the patch. Couldn't understand neither Sona nor Karma and I had to read Vlad buffs reasoning few times to be sure that I am not missing anything or getting crazy, we are buffing Vlad's different build Top, like what ?? Vlad is not building the same 3-4 items every game regardless of length, elo, lane, compositions, whatever...??? and this is not a general buff to an already S tier pick?
Anyway I think they are trying to move Karma in the duo lane and even when in solo to build and does damage, they are getting rid of tank karma and turn her into damage dealer only - not sure though

You can only play champions in the ways/lanes WE want you to play them

Omg, Mao sapling nerfs, everyone on ARAM sighs in relief. Except Sivir W got a nice buff, so she might get nerfed even harder.
I think Riot changed some of these champions just for the sake of it, and then had monkeys write up the justifications later. At least that's what it feels like when looking up Vlad, Karma, and Sona. Especially the Vlad reasoning, they buff both aspects of his passive and think it will encourage his top lane presence???

The new Sona is weird, but I did feel the justification at least made sense that tying a mana refund to being next to an ally felt awful. That change felt like a forced kind of bandaid fix to me when it came in, anyway.

Uhhh what's the point of ranked splits right now? I saw a notification that says ranked split was extended to some day in August and started tryharding to get plat before the end, but then I realized it's just a split and not a whole season.

You get extra rewards but they're pretty useless.
Your ranked "armour" grows every split which is that thing that covers your picture when you search for a game.
You also get some different icons for each split.
I think it's just to try and get people to play consistently throughout the year as opposed to big spikes at the start and end of ranked.

Can anyone explains why Nocturne and Panth (two very similar champs in what they do, both have a damage, a CC and a shield type of ability + semi global Ult) have such a CD disparity in their ults? Nocturne CDs are 140/115/90, while Panth's are180/165/150. Are Panth's basic abilities so much better to justify such difference? Its a genuine question, I really dont get it, not to mention that Panth's ult is a hard to land skill shot, while Noc's is a point click + darkness

Because in 2019, reworked Pantheon would ult a lane and just collect a free kill every time it was off CD, hence a 99% banrate at Worlds. Ironically, the high ult CD existed right from the start, it was probably Riot's intention to prevent him from being an early game god with a high utility global ult in the late game. He needed endless nerfs because pro play were flexing him mid/jungle/support no matter what. Meanwhile Noc is an old champion Riot decided to give some love, so he got an ult CD reduction and it was enough to bump him to a strong meta pick.
So imo, the difference is because of the champ kits as a whole. A global aoe ult + point click stun + insane early dmg + damage immunity including vs. towers >>> Noc's smaller ranged single target ult + channeled fear + high damage + 1 spell shield. LPL and LCK still play him mid/jungle and he has a 57% winrate this year in pro play, seems the nerfs haven't killed him entirely.
