mini: I was trying to decide from inbase 99gate/proxy center 99gate. Reason behind center 99gate was because
1. I first spawned on 7o'clock left side, which is spawn where you can't mine minerals optimized.
2. If im on the left spawn, its 2/3 chance that Larva will be on right spawn, and since right spawn can mine minerals optimized and really well, most zergs tend to do 12h. And after analyzing Larva games, he seemed to go for it most of time. Thats why I did center 99gate. I knew that he doesn't go for overpool because he tended to like going 12h and Soma, who was helping him practice liked 9pool a lot and he probably forced Larva to practice tons of 9pool ahead of time. So we have a player that will probably go 9pool or 12h. Who would go overpool when you prefer those 2?
Thank you i love you jinjin I'm reposting your comment on Reddit for people who might miss it:
This ASL really was just perfect combinations of storms to hit the 250k viewers.
There was a lot of league streamers switching to BW to give it boost in popularity, and Dopa (#1 league) personally appeared in Bisu x Sea stream right before Larva vs Mini finals to hype it up On top of that, this ASL finals just had amazing storyline.
There's Mini, who was a mini-revolutionary and hope of protoss with incredible mindgames and his never-before-seen perfectly optimized no-scout gateway first speedlot timings, which had just destroyed the top ASL dominating Queen with his seemingly unstoppable build.
On other hand, there's Larva, who climbed out from nothing, being no-name dishwasher for SKT, defeating numerous health problems, rising back up after failures after failures, and growing into a top Zerg and "making it" with YouTube success and loving family and daughter.
Also helps that Larva does have near 1m subscriber YouTube channel and Mini rose in popularity recently with his blindfold starcraft content on top of surge in popularity with many korean league players playing BW. On top of that, it was a nailbiter full set, so it was able to hit ASL historic high, beating even FlaSh vs JaeDong ASL S2 with 250k viewers.
Korean daily peak increased from 20k previously to 35k now with all the new/returning players, and streamers like FBH went back to creating content aimed for new players sensing this.
Larva's channel released 2 part video, so 2nd part will be released later. Its a long 15 min video so...
Damn i had no idea larva was a dishwasher or he was so popular. I'm so happy for him and I've been rooting for him since i saw a few of his games Vs flash in the dual fpvod channel.
I didn't know mini did blindfold StarCraft either. Would someone please link me a video? I can't find it.
I'm assuming they're friends and always bantering... rembering after Calm won Ro16 ASLS7, and when it was pointed out he may face Horang2 in Ro8... Calm innocently stated he'd be going to the semi-finals in that case.

Just an FYI in Korean culture the dishwashing duties are for the lowest in rank (or age) in any group. This is why Larva was teased as a dishwasher as he never got very far in SK T1. I doubt he was a literal paid dishwasher in his life.
