As coach Kerr noted...Great season and games by Green and Curry. These guys are championship calibre players who put an extreme amount of effort and intensity into their craft. They almost managed to will a really crappy team into the playoffs. Kerr considers this season a success. I concur. This season was a success for the Warriors... they almost made the playoffs and proved they were one of the top 20 teams in the NBA! They just got beat by a better team.
First wow are you passive aggressive! Someone? lol.
Next the stat that for years you used to prove he was bad, in spite of what people like Lowe and so one were saying was DRPM, it was the best all encompassing stat and everything else was wrong. He finished as the 4th best defending SF!
And no shit you play better defense with better teammates, that was my point all along. And here is Kerr talking about Wiggins multiple times! He had his most efficient year, his best defensive year as usual he played big minutes and played every game other then when they rested him in the second last game.
You are having to stretch pretty hard for you Wiggins hate these days, it is basically pathological. No one thinks the Twolves won the trade, Wiggins way out preformed Russell AND the 1st pick, damn!
I understand you can't let this go, or ever possibly admit that you might be wrong. But Wiggins is a solid NBA wing it is not even a discussion any more.
Edit: Wiggins traditional numbers this year and how they ranked for SF and I should mention this is averages because he played 1 less then the most games and likely the most total minutes so in totals he would be way higher.
He also had a effective FG% of .543 the highest of his career and a number to be proud of. And he just turned 26. Hes not a max player inspite of his contract, but he is also far from the worst max player. He is a solid, better than average SF in the NBA. And he played the 6 most minutes in the entire NBA.
Paul George is one of the most interesting people to watch this playoffs IMO. He's a top 10 player who really struggled last year and had to deal with all the playoff PG meme's. I wonder if he will be able to quiet the critics of if the pressure will get to him?

i think Westbrook is being a little too sensitive about popcorn being thrown on him. For decades I've seen NFL, MLB, NBA, and even pro wrestlers just shrug off getting popcorn , toilet paper rolls and other harmless debris thrown on them.
Here is Andre the Giant getting showered with debris for more than 1 minute from 1:35 to 2:45.
when you're playing "the antagonist" silliness like this happens. In philly, westbrook is the antagonist.
Ken "The Rat" Linseman became an iconic figure for the Florida Panthers...
Yankees fans were throwing stuff on the field in mid April. MLB at bats get interrupted by the occasional idiot. This impacts the focus of the pitcher and the hitter. meh, its just a game.
I think the NBA is making a mistake if they won't let their fans be a little spontaneous.
WWE is not a sport, it's scripted. And they would throw you out if you threw something at their actors.
The rats were to celebrate and got banned.
If people get out of hand and throw shit at players it's wrong. They should get kicked out, probably not permanently banned for popcorn, but we really don't want another another malice at the palace.

nah, they let that stuff go. its part of the silliness of the event. as shown in the video i posted Andre The Giant was peppered with debris for more than 1 minute.
WWE is a live event with audience proximity similar to the NBA. The NBA is also a live event.
Perma-banning for such minor things is impossible to enforce and with a lot of people wearing masks facial recognition becomes difficult.
I'd say the permaban due to the popcorn throwing comes off as an immature petulant NBA is taking itself too seriously.

A lot that happened back then is no longer allowed. I'm not a wrasslein fan so maybe that is still cool. But every sporting event you go to talks about nothing being thrown on the playing surface or at the players. With the expectation being hats for hat tricks in hockey and on teddy bear nights for charity.
I'd say they are trying to set an example, the NBA has a fair bit of concern given what happened in Detroit, and I would not be surprised if the ban is lifted after a year or two.
extreme punishments also make other punishments look ridiculously unfair. so a guy shoves Lowry and gets into it with him and gets a few games? the popcorn throwing guys gets a life time ban?

maybe we need a scientific study to determine whether a few hundred baseball hats is more dangerous than a bag of popcorn.

these extreme "banned for life" punishments ... come off like Adam Silver is the President of the World Wrestling Federation. Russ is doing a great job of being "bad guy wrestler" the way he reacted.
That different teams gave different punishments in on the teams it was not the NBA doing it.
Like I said I wouldn't ban the guy for life. But I would not want to encourage it either, it is not like people do not know that it unacceptable. I trouble feeling sorry for someone being idiotic losing their ability to go to the game. Businesses have the right to refuse business based on bad behavior, watching basketball is not some protected right.

I honestly don't care what they do with the fan, but I do think they should fine and suspend any player that acts like its a big deal, and the same with any Skip Bayless, Steven A types white knighting for players. Its fucking popcorn, Westbrook's kids do worse to him every day. And verbal hecklers, come on, that's supposed to be part of the sport.

It depends what is said. I don't want to take my kids to a game and hear hateful racist shit, nor should it be said anywhere. If they are chanting about trae young balding that's fun stop stuff.

like the Golden State Warriors protected Kyle Lowry and Masai Ujiri? you mean like that?
The Rat thing... was really wild.. and a lot of fun.
Patrick Roy was asked if being showered by 1000 Rats after getting scored upon was frustrating.... he said "I was happy to live that experience ... once". Of course, Patrick Roy is a multiple Stanely Champ and a multiple Conn Smythe Trophy winner. He has the mental fortitude to deal with having crap thrown on him.
That first goal scored on Roy in Florida in that finals was so fucking hilarious....
The Rat clean up was sponsored by Orchid Pest Control. So much fun.

Going straight to racist is a special pleading. Its not only incredibly rare, its not actually what gets the players QQing (hint it is the baldy stuff), and most of the time they make it up.
