Well if you promise a feature it would make completely sense to do it. But nowadays it seems like customers can be lied to and then be fucked in the ass.

Well if you bought CP2077 thinking "what a great game for playing multiplayer with my friends" without them ever showing multiplayer and even saying multiplayer is very very very far off, then I'd say the mistake is your and yours alone.
It is a immersive singeplayer, story driven game with a semi open world, exactly as advertised.
Would a multiplayer mode with heists and PvP and stuff be cool? Hell yeah. Is it probably just our hopes and dreams and will suck balls in reality? Probably

Ah no, i didn't buy this pile of garbage.
And no, it's not their fault, it's false advertisiment. As simple as that. But put the blame on the customer sure.

Regarding the bugs and playability: Hell no. 100% the company at fault
Regarding multiplayer: Yes, like I said. Or maybe you can source me one one those false advertisement the devs actually said, and that might change my mind. But to my knowledge, multiplayer expectations were entirely build on what we want and not what they actually will deliver and when
See my posts above and last page. I've been fortunate to not run into most of the bugs they fixed (and am pissed they patched exploits to make money more feasible). It runs better once I capped the frame rate to not go above 100 (get weird FPS spikes in menus and areas where there isn't a lot of action taking place). There's still some bugs where loot is there but you can't get it, NPCs stuck in or under objects, and the cars rarely move if blocked in traffic.
AI is/was always better for me, but I've noticed a small improvement. Cops never spawned on me (then again I didn't make a habit of trying to kill every cop in NC). Again, this is still my 1st and current playthrough, so I don't know what a fresh playthrough would bring.

ok thanks. i'm considering a purchase... but i may wait for a sale first
On GOG it's 20% off. I got it through there and side load with Steam so I can use the PS5 controller.
Additionally, my opinion, the game is beautiful and has pretty decent vibrant life. There's a lot cut/missing that should have been there upon release, but it is what it is. I'm around 100 hours in or so and it's still pretty fun to play, for me. I managed to exploit 1mil before the patch, so I can buy whatever I want more or less (should have taken it to 10mil though). A lot of the harder missions I already completed so now I'm just cleaning up.
On April 01 2021 23:19 Jockmcplop wrote: How's the game playing right now? Do cops still appear in buildings behind the player? Are there still loads of bugs? What about the ai?
So I started playing yesterday because I finally have some free time and CDPR just released a patch addressing some of the stuff people have harped on since release. I basically played it for ~6 hours straight. AI seems fine so far to me, encountered a few very small bugs, i.e. a buggy head animation for an npc or I couldn't pick up a weapon half stuck in the floor. But the ratio is somewhere in the area of 1 very minor one every 2-3 hours, so this is more than okay in my book.
And honestly the game is blowing me away. The game knocks it out of the park in terms of design and graphics, the soundtrack is solid and the gunplay is actually really good (and melee would be too if you wouldn't get blasted to bits against ranged enemies). The NPCs feel alive and are often likeable and the vision of the future is dystopian and creative.
There are some minor things it doesn't ace, like the loot feels flat, the car controls need some fiddling until it feels decent and there are a bunch of things I don't like about the skill system (among others that specialization means I can't play with all the tools at the same time anymore), but the game implements a bunch of different gameplay systems you can interact with and they all feel highly polished to me. Unlike f.e. TES or GTA Cyberpunk is an open world game with polished gameplay systems and memorable characters while still pertaining a great open world.
So unless the writing screws up massively later on so far I'd definitely recommend it.

Anyone who expected MP from CP2077 this year was fooling themselves. Even before the release I knew that wasn't going to happen. That they curtailed it to being possibly canceled is whatever to me at this point. Once they put the cut content back in and the first paid DLC comes out, then I'll consider if MP is even worth it. And even then, probably not.
It's a mix of customers having some unreasonable aspirations and the company doing a marvelous marketing job with shit results. This is why I blame the BoD/Managers and not the devs/designers themselves.
At the end of the day, you don't want to play it, don't play it. But please don't come in here and try to salt the game for others. There are other places that will listen to that. I'm assuming most here just want to enjoy the game as it is and talk about it.

I will play it when they fix it to what i would find a reasonable amount for me to spend money on it. And i can come here and post my thoughts into it the same as you do. I mean, you can play the game and have fun, good for you. Nothing wrong about it.
If you want to blame customers for a giant checklist of unfulfilled promises, you could search it yourself.
And if you bothered to actually check the links, you would know that everyone already knew MP wasn't going to be released this year.

Maybe it’s me being old, seen it before enough times.
The all things to all people kind of game Cyberpunk was partly marketed by, and certainly anticipated by many gamers is, borderline impossible to develop, especially with a multi platform launch and on this (well the past now) generation’s hardware, I mean come on. Without factoring in Covid which probably made development that much harder.
CDPR should have aimed for, and marketed a game that was the Witcher 3, in a cyberpunk original setting, maybe with some additional bells and whistles and gone for that. Pushing the hype and ambition that much was just making a rod for the developer’s back.
That said, bugs and all that kind of stuff, absolutely be mad at that, don’t be mad at a game that doesn’t meet absurd hype standards and Tweet abuse at developers, or worse still be that mad because the game doesn’t live up to your own headcanon of it.
If the game is missing promised features, yes that sucks, if it’s a blatant false advertisement i.e Aliens: Colonial Marines that’s basically outright fraudulent.
Gamers have some of the finest people amongst the hobby and some of the absolute worst entitled whiners out there.
Why not the age old practice of literally just waiting a day or two after a big release to see if a game ships broken or not in lieu of the idiocy of pre-ordering digital content and then Tweeting death threats at people? Fucking hell.
My entire rig needs replaced, been 10 years :O If I can actually fucking find a GPU at a non-insane price I’ll definitely be picking this up to give it a go, the cyberpunk aesthetic is definitely my favourite sub-genre in terms of setting.

I checked your links. That's why I made the comment about MP being a fool's errand thinking it would be released this year. I'm playing the game. I know what has been cut. But I can also tell from firsthand experience that the game is not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. I was, as I've mentioned before, fortunate to not have the majority of issues a lot of people were seeming to have. I don't know how, but that's the truth. The game has been a blast for me and I don't regret the time I've put into enjoying it.
I only say don't salt the game because you're not playing. Only going with what others are saying. If there are more posters here who share the same opinion as you do and have/are playing the game, I could understand it. I don't mind if you post in here, can't stop you. But does it do any good? Not really.

I agree with this 100%. With the backlash they received, I'm super glad that we're getting all of that content back plus free DLC. I don't think they'll give us cut content as DLC because that would for sure screw them big time. But cut content + extra stuff that goes with that. A huge transportation DLC with various missions and everything would be amazing.
I can only imagine CP2077 getting better from here on out and if it goes in a crap direction, I'll be the first to say screw CDPR.
Now that I think about it...I wonder if there will be any 'Hackers' references in the game, or if I missed something. Love that movie.
Patch is live! 30+GB to download. Better start it now boyos.

Excited to see if some of the performance / UI improvements will make a difference though. And excited to finally grab my eddies off the chip in The Pickup on my next playthrough :D
That was my understanding. On PC, most of those issues I didn't run into. There were some issues with menu accessing (sluggish) and clipping during certain parts, but I haven't done another playthrough yet to see if it still persists. But for sure, the amount of issues fixed that I didn't know were issues is staggering. Doesn't affect me at all really.
My biggest hope is that Sony puts it back on PSN. That would be the best thing for this moment. Another patch and then DLC by September would be dope. Plus next-gen updates. I'm gonna see if I can get the RT on AMD to work.
Doubt they will, from what I heard they fixed bugs, but the performance is still tragic on the PS4
e.g. here, roughly 9 minute mark (i posted a video without the time mark)
I'm reading on the CDPR forums that most problems are fixed if people simply do a clean uninstall and reinstall and start a new playthrough. I don't know, I haven't tried. But that seems to be the consensus fix. But if it really is still bad for the majority of players, then yeah, it'll be summer or later before Sony puts it back on PS Store.

Maybe CDPR can make their run for PS5 option only?

That won't get them more sales, so I doubt they limit that massive potential customer base. It really should only be for next-gen, but well, it ain't lol. Can only make it work since they've committed this much.
First Witcher 3 story content was 5 month after release with another huge update 7 month after that. CP is 4 month old now. There roadmap isn't showing anything worthwhile so far. I mean free DLC is cool and all that but I guess it's skins and stuff, not real content.
Nothing has been announced yet on their twatter or website. So I'd take the roadmap they released and add at least a month to it before we get anything concrete. I'd expect more bug fixes as well as some light content. Probably more random encounters and possibly factions/gangs to align with. If they added the transportation system as well as the ability to modify cars/preview clothes, it'll be very welcome.
