Recently I've been checking some of my game stats on Steam, checking up on some games I used to play a lot (but don't really play any more) and see how many hours I've sunk into them. It was a fun experience, for me the most played games on Steam were a couple MMOs (Age of Conan and Final Fantasy XIV), one MOBA (DotA2) and RTS games (Company of Heroes and Dawn of War 2).
Aside from that, the game I've sunk the most time into is an old MUD, where I have over 17 million hours (~200 days) on record (and that's really nothing, some people are approaching 5000 days of in-game time there).
I was wondering what might be other people's poison.

Dota 2 on steam is almost at 5500 hours (3 hours off), been playing since 2012. Warframe is at 1384 hours when I stopped playing in 2019, played from 2016. Guild Wars 2 I had about 4000 hours if I combined all my toons' playtime, been playing since launch in 2012 up until the 2nd expansion in 2017. FF XIV is at 1671 hours but currently, I am taking an extended break from it. Started with Shadowbringers in July 2019. Starcraft: Brood War, Starcraft 2, and Warcraft 3: TFT - countless hours that all individually eclipse all of the above before "blizzard launcher" started counting.

League of Legends probably around 1,200 hours Guild Wars about 500 hours WarRock ~600 hours Rappelz ~300 hours Knight Online ~300 hours (not counting the time spent overnight selling items) Gunbound ~150 hours Rakion ~80 hours
Then there are all those console games I've also spent time on.

Just on Steam? GTA5, at 1350 hours. Second and Third are Terraria with 1,020 and Final Fantasy 14 with 982.
Outside of steam... Thousands on Minecraft, WoW, Diablo, Diablo II, etc. No idea the numbers there but easily 5k+ each.

I don't have these kinds of games in steam I think.
Most played right now are Astellia (MMO I had some hopes for) 600 hours CS:GO 300 hours
Of course I spent a huge amount of time in the Starcraft universe but other then that I switch to a new thing pretty regularly, mostly MMO's.
Starting with Runes of Magic back in the day, Aion, TERA (the non steam version), Rift, ... All probably at a few 100s but never 1000s of hours

Dota 2 for ~4k hours. Then comes my 4x block lead by Eu4, Total war Warhammer2 and Stellaris.
Followed prolly by sc2, Slay the spire, Vermintides, Skyrims, Warframe, some Pokémon handhelds that are all the 300-600 hour area. No idea about my Diablo 2 hours, but probably up there too.
Atm thinking about another Skyrim run, but probably would dl 20-30 mods for that to feel really different and getting that to run is such a pain.

Notable time spent according to Steam:
Dota 2: 3,153h (since 2018) Football Manager 2019: 1,312h NBA 2k18: 915h CSGO: 769h PUBG: ~500h Skyrim: 319h (though most of that is my sister)
Had a couple of thousand hours on cod1 and 2 back in the Xfire days, but can't access those stats anymore, for obvious reasons. I probably play too many video games... but they are too fun to resist!
