One base gimmicks are barely used at the pro level after the nuclear battery got added for protoss. But NA GM Dolan uploaded a interesting thor 1 base all in which is kinda cool.
Is it just me or is Oxide LE super bad for Zerg, especially vs T?
Both options for a 3rd seem super bad, because there is not enough time to destroy the rocks before their first push. Once they siege up I can't engage head on into the chokes and it seems so hard to setup a good flank there, because I basically have to run around half of the map to get behind their army which gives them a big window to push into the other half.
I never ever vetoed maps when laddering, but I feel like this will become my first veto soon
How do you deal w/ P rushing carriers right after 1-2 void rays? Apart rom a blind 2 base queen rush, it seems i cannot just win against this build.
The problem is, with the usual macro build + mass queens(you need 9+ queens and spores to defend the first 2 carriers), corruptors are rly late so you just have to let P go as greedy as he wants. After that, you have to go for 200vs200 deathball fight, but then P seems to be always a bit ahead since he started to build the lategame comp way earlier than you do.
I know a blind 2 base queen rush can wreck this build, but there is no way to know if he does that so i wouldnt count that as a solution.
Please let me know if anybody knows the right solution to this P build.

By any chance do you have a link to a replay? The quality of advice you hope to receive may depend on your providing some context. How greedy exactly you have to let Protoss be depends on your ability to identify and exploit weaknesses in their defense. Do you want a strategy that allows you to punish a specific build at a certain timing, or generally good long-term advice for helping you build an end-game composition?
AFAIK, the general weakness of stargate play is to exploit the lack of ground support, splash, detection or in the case of carriers, production speed and overall expense as well. IMO getting and maintaining a large economy (say 90 drones) would allow you to overwhelm them where they're weak to weaken their economy until you can have a critical mass to wipe the armada and never give P new bases past a point. Having to overmake queens and spores is the side-effect, (until you can pump out the death wave of corruptors) and while it may not feel like much fun, it'll hopefully keep you alive. If you simply never attack them because you can't kill the carriers, you'll never damage their economy or ability to exploit areas and resources on the map and they will hit their perfect probe count and saturation, or reach a Zerg-like state of overgrowth. Sacrifices must be made in the form of whatever can get in and do big damage (banelings mostly).
I know the answer should be somewhere in the internet, maybe on this page. I couldnt find it..
though here i go: How do i click in the fog of war of a protoss building which isnt done, to identify it? I know pros click on it to see the size of the building.
Is it worth getting comfortable using the F5-F7 keys for hot-keying screens? Its a big struggle for me to get used to them (i just click on the mini map). I'm like ~3000 mmr if that matters.
I know 4k5+ players that never used a camera hotkey, but they are mostly not zergs. Most higher level zerg use camera hotkeys. However, as RaiZ mentioned, F1 to F4 will very often be enough in any case.
If it is that much of a trouble for you (especially if you're T or P), getting good at clicking the minimap can be a solid work around. Just find what works best for you, and what people use camera hotkeys for, so you find your (or steal others) way to do the same.
i have a problem where it appears my game is playing at a very low framerate. I can actually identify frame by frame if i record my gameplay and slow it down to 0.5x speed. My actual FPS when I use CTRL + F is 200 though. It just doesn't look smooth at all, more like very little stutters constantly. Anyone know what might be causing it?
Edit: seems like restarting fixed it. Apparently this happens if u have sc2 application open for 6 days straight lol
Is there a quick way to select only the units you're tabbed to in a group? Normally I would ctrl click them in selection window or doubleclick them when I see them.
But sometimes you don't see them either on the map or in the selection (because the group is too big).
You still have to go trough the control group window. There are two main ways for this: either go to the other pages of your control group, you can click on the number to go to that page. If you know the approximate order, like "what I need is at the very end, you can directly go where you need. Or you control-shift-click on the units until the one you need are there, then you can select them. This one can be very effective if your army is very heavy of one or two things (ling-bane-muta, Marine-medivacs-tank etc...)
