Memes aside, I didn't find Lilbow's early LotV play too impressive. The game is very different now ofc, so we'll see what he's capable of.
He'll need to macro better than he did in the past IMO, his micro is obviously very good but often building up a bank in the meantime. In HotS Blink era you could afford to do that, modern LotV is a little more punishing.

Wasn't this the first real drama about foreigners v Koreans? Ah, the good old times.

Lmao good catch. It's not a bad photoshop job either.

Well this is a headline I never expected to see! Cool though, hope he does well.

I guess this really highlights how bad of a position the OW league is in, when retired sc2 players are leaving OW for sc2 again.

Welcome back, our best OW player who can also play SC2! My Aiur For Life!

During last HotS year (2015 iirc), Lilbow who is a french protoss player became the best foreigner, mostly on the back of his great blink play (during protoss blink era), and was the only foreigner to qualify for BlizzCon. People thus had high hopes for him, and he got cheesed thrice by Life and lost the bo5 3-0 in something like 30 minutes. It would have been relatively harmless if he didn't say that with everyone practicing LotV, it was hard to find practice partners or something like this. People started mocking him for what they considered a poor excuse for his performance.
I think it's important to note that the cheeses were like 6p/10p/14p allins.. something that diamond protosses of the time could have held with relative ease, to chalk those losses up to practice was ridiculous lmao...

Welcome back. I expect to see great things from him.

Just makes you wonder what triggered his comeback. Maybe he just started to stream for fun again and enjoyed it enough to come back lol

Lilbow deserves all of the dunking on for his performance and comments at BlizzCon, but I still hope he returns to his old form and becomes a strong player in the scene

Not to be rude, what's archangel gaming? I've never heard of them. I hope lilbow isn't just really desperate for a progaming job and getting taken advantage of.

So you are telling me a diamond Protoss could have held vs Life cheesing? Interesting
Welcome back Lilbow! Tell us something what you did in the last 5 years, tell us about yourself. We would like to know you (again) :D

I've heard he practiced a lot of SC2 during his time as Overwatch pro so he might be able to compete well.

I missed the Lilbow era drama and only know about him from old threads.
While i understand the meme-value of it all, its great that old players (especially good one like Lilbow was, concidering he was the only foreigner who qualified for Blizzcon) returns. I hope more will follow.
Another (good, hopefully) Protoss is also great.
Best of luck to him

I may be wrong but I never got the feeling that Lilbow would succeed in LOTV, his play was always centered around strong 2 base all ins and tricky builds such as going for insane amount of stalkers so he could hit very specific timings in the midgame. His macro never seemed great and it does not seem like you can go immortal sentry/collossus stalker max or just plain gateway all ins anymore.
Good luck to him. It would be very interesting to see how he adapts to such a different apm intensive game as LOTV.

Cool! Welcome back, hope you come back to your old form.
Still can't forgive you for beating Mana in that WCS final though!
