But I feel I go a little beyond that.
I see starcraft, as most of you do, as a form of pure art; each race is completely different and thus each is a whole different world to get into, analyze, study, use, grow up with, and admire their beauty.
I still remember those times when I beat my first terran with my once crappy, and still crappy zerg. Like it was something so huge of an accomplishment for me at the time and you look back to it, replay, and you see it was all inspiration, not mechanics, timing, game knowledge or etc, but something I did out of my drive to win that game.
I see StarCraft as a form of Kung-Fu, which race resembles Kung-Fu the best? It's a question you have to ask yourself. Kung-Fu has a lot of arts and forms, snake, tiger, mantis, crane, etc as well as Terran has Gundam, SK, Tornado, Zerg has Sauron, Protoss has... I don't know but you get the point.
And the best thing, the one and single most inspiring trait that this game has and that will always be something I will hold within me and remember forever is: You can never be too good at it.
That's why power players such as Mondragon, Strelok, etc can rape us easy and get A- ICC with no problem but will never ever be able to beat NOT SO TOP 3, but rather "easier" pro-gamers such as Sea, HwaSIn, etc... NEVER.
I sometimes listen to music to get inspired and reflect on the beauty of what this game is. It went beyond of that which it was intended to be - another simple RTS.
Thanks for reading this, it all comes out of inspiration and love for this art.
I'll leave you with a little question/request.
Which songs that you have heard of and like represent each of the different 3 SC races? I ask because I'd like to listen to them too and share my thoughts as well ^^
For me:
Protoss
Zerg
Terran
