We also did a FFA on Primeval Islands on slowest, that took a good 5-6h but was also quite epic. | ||

It can also be useful for practice. You need to be able to do things slowly before you have any hope of doing them correctly with speed. Say, practice your build on slow speed. Do it right 2-3x. Then normal. Then fast. Then fastest. | ||

No one could stand it and yes games would take forever. It's not like we did not play on slow settings because yeah it made the game 3x longer.. | ||

Fastest speed from 0-2 min Fast from 2-4 Normal from 4-6 Slow from 6-8 Slowest from 8- onwards But I don’t think you can do that even with the mapmaker... | ||

The coolest practice advice I have heard from the Russian scene, is that they save a game at a certain crucial point and two players will play from there repeatedly to master certain openers, or middlegame positions ect. Never had a partner to do this with, but it seems like a huge time saver, esp. compared to trying to practice builds below 1900 on the ladder. | ||
