What makes this so great for me is that the vampires are so out of touch with reality and how modern life work that it kind of show off the strange sides of modern man and still takes a piss of vampires in general.
If you'd like to see an amazing movie that is similar in tone but utterly serious (ie: not a comedy) you should watch Only Lovers Left Alive (which also plays into some of the scenes in WWDITS season 2). Highly recommended.

Really captures the feel of being a depressed teenager and has good amount of gratuitous fan service. Not getting much out of it though, no real interest to find out what happens next. It's visually gorgeous and I like how it dwells slowly on scenes rather than having tons of quick cuts like you see nowadays.
I take this back.. I'm down to the last three episodes now and I gotta say it's a deeply beautiful and moving series.

I've just watched Amazon's Beat. It's a pretty cool crime thriller. Really enjoyable. The only thing that didn't work for me was that some of the setups didn't have payoffs and some side characters were simply discarded (and I wanted to know what happened to them). I really liked the main villain though.

I'm watching the 3% atm... and well.. Its cheap fun but, holy shit, american voice actors are like... 40 years behind their counterparts in other languages? It seriousy hurts. It's not "kinda bad" it's just "wrong".
German dubbing is not perfect but boy.... Is it GOOOD

Then I wondered if it was just that my expectations were so low and it stood up to more critical viewing.
I don't want to spoil anything but so much in there I find discussion worthy.

You can check if there was a thread for it. If not, you can always create one. I'm up for some Cobra Kai discussions

If anyone ever wanted a real explanation of Twin Peaks, what its really about, this youtube video is actually amazing. I guarantee you never thought about it like this, and it makes absolutely everything make sense.

Twin Peaks creeped me out too much to watch the whole thing. Even if it is artistic and revolutionary or whatever it gives me such dread and anxiety.

Granted i haven't watched the new version, but I found twin peaks hilarious more than creepy.

The third (new) season is way more hardcore than the original. It's Lynch Unleashed. Very unsettling and scary at times, but still with a lot of humour.
For me the new Twin Peaks is the best TV show ever, closely followed by The Wire.

I loved the old twin peaks. With the weirdness in the little town. What made it speciel for me was the people in the Twin Peaks clearly overacted but made me liked them because of that. Rather unique in that. So had been looking forward to the thrid season for a long time. To be honest it's so different and for me out of tourch with the the original show. To be honest i hated it, even if judged on it's own. Weird for the sake of being Weird. Didn't like a single person in the show.

Just finished watching Cobra Kai. Now that is a guilty pleasure I can get behind. The story is just so out there and completely ridciculous, but still enjoyable. And then there are some very cool and serious elements in there + Show Spoiler +like when Miguel is getting punished for showing merci. Daniel and Johnny trying to do a good thing and then everything falls to pieces . Don't really know where they will take it with season 3, but I'll probably watching.
Only realized a few episodes in that they used the original cast. Seriously, such a cool idea. I cannot give a rating, such a silly but enjoyable show.
