Out of the all of the years of BroodWar, I really can't remember this spell being used in high level matches. If you know of any games, please share them.

Yes, and I recall some games from the early-mid 00's where it was used on BattleCruisers, but unfortunately I can't remember the specific matches. I believe it is more energy and APM-efficient to just send the Marines elsewhere, split the Medics, and then have the Medics heal the Marines once the spell expires. Of course, this assumes that you can afford to run away somewhere for a bit, but in general if you're hanging on by a thread to the point where this one group of MnM is make-or-break, then you're probably fucked either way. Seems to me that using Restoration on MnM would be akin to sending injured Zerglings back to your main to let them regenerate health, as far as noob approaches to the game go.

https://tl.net/tlpd/korean/games/1640_firebathero_vs_sAviOr/vod FBH uses Restoration on BC's are you stated. Although so here in theory, a Medic starts with 50 energy, Restoration costs 50 energy. If you are using restoration on Bio in late game just because you have the multitasking ability, I feel like it would make more sense to use it effeciently as it A) Stops the plague from decreasing the units health B) Will most likely use more energy by just letting the medics heal the bio Although, I guess because Consume is so easy to do and it is likely to keep getting continuously plagued, it is better to just overall split the units and then like you said use the Restoration in late game on BC's.

Restore dispels all harmful effects except Stasis Field. Too bad storm can't be ignored with restoration.

Also, keep in mind that the ratio of marine to medic is typically 4 to 1 so that's 200 energy you are using up which is all the energy the medic has unless you researched Caduceus Reactor which adds another 50 energy. So in the scenario where you have I dunno, 20 marines and 5 medics with no energy upgrades, the medics will use all their energy up (assuming they are full) to heal those marines leaving them little to do any followup healing lest the zerg tries to push and you have to stim to repel. Now of course, a plague will only cover so much and depends highly on the terran's response and the zerg's ability to manage to get a big one off and the ratio isn't set in stone so it's a bit less clear than the scenario described above. Still, imo, it's best reserved for plagued vessels or BCs since those are much more valuable and costly compared to a marine or firebat. Funny thing is 5-10 seconds later the vessels are bunched up, just now the ones that weren't plagued were also in the group, and then they got plagued a second time.
