Just came here to say that this is awesome, I previously emailed him asking if there was anything I could do to help, and he responded with more then enough entry information to help me get started and even gave an example of how he made a specific update to reflect a recent change.
While I am far from even an entry level coder, I took a java and a python class once years ago, and have used C++ off and on to attempt to code on unreal engine, nothing major at all, but the information he provided feels like more then enough for even someone like myself to lend a helping hand.
I asked about what he recommended for making something like the open source so that anyone in the active community could contribute, and being the stellar guy he is, instead of suggesting what to use, he has made his open source.
I hope to be able to learn a little bit more about .net before the next major patch and at the very least be able to help contribute to keeping the units/upgrades and their requirements / prices / timings up to date so that we will always have a handy little app like this when watching GSL live or at work and want to quickly record a build for use later
This app has been a blessing to me, and I encourage everyone who has the time to play around with it , taking your earbuds out vs the AI, allows you to have the phone read the build out to you, and you can even change how fast it reads it out so that you can practice harder to learn phases of the build at a slower rate ( like you know playing guitar hero in slower mode to learn that killer solo ) , I can't emphasize enough how helpful this app is, and if you never have used it, don't hesitate to give it a try.
Those who can code any at all, and are familiar with GitHub, please send the OP an email, this way at the very least if no one is around to update it, your not stuck waiting for ages for a change as simple as moving an upgrade requirement from one building to another, I know not all of us are always active, but if their is a large enough group of people connected to the GitHub we can keep this game experience enhancing app as up to date as possible
