Hello everyone,
we are a group of academic researchers who are looking into creating visualizations of gameplay. Our goal is to generate visualizations that help players understand in-game data, e.g., for the purpose of training.
We would like to gather feedback on a recent visualization based on Starcraft data and are thus specifically looking for players from the Starcraft community.
If you’d like to help in this study we are looking for people over 15 years of age to complete a 5-10 minute online survey.
The survey is available at: http://sodwana.uni-ak.ac.at/limesurvey/index.php/984349?lang=en
The survey is anonymous and the collected data will only be used as part of the research and not for any commercial purposes. You can find more information, including examples of the visualizations, on the survey website.
Should you have any questions, please contact us.
[We hope it is OK to post this here. Given the rules for this subforum it appears so, but if not please let me know and I will remove the post. Thank you.]

please give feedback for participants, that would be more fun!
eg what was the correct answer

Thanks for the suggestion. Currently the coordinates are checked offline (not within the survey itself). But if there is demand we can post summary results here once everything is finished.

or any findings would be fun to see!!!

Really neat. I just spent some time filling out the survey. I liked what you did but I also thought about what I might do if I were doing something like this and put that in the suggestions section. I won't write it here just in case it somehow influences others who take the survey. Will you be able to/willing to show us the end results of your gameplay viz project? What system you end up using, how the survey results might have influenced changes you make in future iterations, etc.

Thanks for taking part and offering suggestions. Happy to share results here once analysis is finished - might take some time though - but I will keep you all updated here.

sooo, do you have the results now? pretty interested) Moreover, when it comes to surveys online and various projects, I'm the first who is into helping others. However, not long ago I discovered a great article providing info on how to take surveys and earn money on this thing. I was actually taken aback that you can become a survey taker and earn money for this kind of job. Try to check it!
