Awesome, It is really cool to see IntoThe around still in SC2.

In this group: Zest disappointing, Zoun absolutely kicking the crud out of Dream.
Well, in the end he lost the game that mattered most, RIP.

They have to be one of the oldest clan still around in gaming, it's been 20 years since IntoTheRain

We are live once again. Patience has been replaced with Taeja this morning, so the final lineup for Group B is BreakingGG, INnoVation, Hurricane, and Taeja!

Alright, TY looked amazing. And TRUE is so weird. Sees 4 phoenixes and 3 oracles and makes 20 corruptors. And it works?

Group Stage 2 has been announced!
All remaining players in the IntoTheAlphaX Pro Circuit are "in the money" now - the only question that remains is "How much money?" Let's talk about Group Stage 1 and then announce the players for Group Stage #2.
Group Stage 1 Recap
Group A Let's not kid ourselves: the story from Group A was SortOf. The Swedish Zerg player absolutely crushed his way through the group with a 2-0 win against Zest (wasn't even close) and a gripping 2-1 series against Zoun. The only foreign player to earn a spot in the second group stage, he has an uphill battle, but certainly looks like he's up to the challenge. Dream also showed some amazing games, even scoring the revenge kill in a 3-game deciding match after losing to Zoun 2-0 at the start of the day. Zest, meanwhile, just had an off day: losing 0-2 0-2 to SortOf and Dream. Zest was the only player with an 0-4 map score in the entire tourney. Ouch.
The one match to rewatch: SortOf vs. Zest (NSFP)
Group B The Terran Dominion ran strong for this entire tournament, but Group B was truly a showcase for both INnoVation and TaeJa, dropping only 1 (non-head-to-head) map between the two of them all day long. While BreakingGG and Hurricane were certainly the underdogs in this group, they just weren't able to rise to the considerable challenge.
The one match to rewatch: INnoVation vs. Hurricane
Group C I was joined by expert Zerg coach Matiz for Group C, and it was a pleasure to have such a knowledgeable co-caster on board! Solar and TRUE were serious contenders for the title, and I was so glad to have help covering their matches. But the #TerranPatch is real (seriously. read reddit. its just facts.), and notable Junior Associate GSL Caster TY was able to crank out a win at the top of his group. Astrea, the foreigner in the group, was eliminated early, which meant that our two zerg icons were forced to butt heads a second time again in the deciding match. In a real chess match of a series, Solar edged out TRUE to join SortOf as the only non-Terran so far in Group Stage 2.
The one match to rewatch: Solar vs. TRUE (It's like a free ZvZ coaching session from Matiz!)
Group D Protoss fans were already pretty nervous - zero 'Toss had qualified, and they had to hang their hat on Super as their last hope. Newly acquired by Korea's new, mysterious Team GP, Super was hoping for a good first outing repping his new squad. But Cure, TIME, and soO were standing in his way. The flame in our hearts burned brightly when he ousted TIME 2-1 in the losers match (TIME was the only Terran player not to qualify for group stage 2). But in the deciding match soO made quick work of him with an uneventful 2-0 smash.
The one match to rewatch: Cure vs. soO
Qualified Players
Cure, Dream, INnoVation, Taeja, TY soO, SortOf
Group Stage 2 Announcement
Which brings us to the second phase of the tournament: Group Stage 2! The groups are announced as below:
Group A Group B Four of these players will advance to the semifinals, and have a shot at the $400 grand prize. Four will go home with $50 and a pocket full of dreams. I'm not in the business of making predictions, so I'll leave that to y'all. Who do you think will advance to the semis? Which group looks scarier? Who will be our dark horse? Join me April 3 - April 5th for the back-to-back-to-back action.
