Week six of the ESL Open saw all three server cups won by first time winners.
Zoun triumphed over a mostly international field of competitors in the Korean server cup (3-1 vs TIME in the finals), continuing his quietly run of strong online performances during the pre-season. A rotation player player for SKT until 2016, Zoun returned to competitive StarCraft II in 2019 after a lengthy hiatus.
Armani, another ex-KeSPA pro returning from a break (due to military service in this case), won the American server cup with a 3-1 victory over Denver in the finals. Finally, German stalwart ShoWTimE won the European server cup, sweeping Lambo in the finals.
ESL Open Cup winners earn $100 in prize money and 10 ESL Pro Tour points. Players who finish second earn 5 ESL Pro Tour points. Week #7 of ESL Open Cups is set to take place on February 23rd, though participation is likely to be heavily affected by players travelling to IEM Katowice (Feb 24 start).
