Nice, just need to book my plane ticket!

So happy seeing the words "2020" and "GSL"
I just realized this is for the super tournament. Do you have any idea when the GSL Season 1 will start roughly?
|
Super Tournament before regular GSL season? Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but hopefully we'll find out soon enough.

Awesome news! Thanks for the information!

Guys, this is confirmation that 1. AfreecaTV is still in charge of KR SC2 2. We still get more than 3 KR events 3. Kr sc2 is still operated under the branding GSL
I m so hyped about this and can t realy understand, why there aren t more hyped reactions here yet.

I’m not sure what that means exactly for KR sc2 in 2020, but I’m happy to hear about it for sure!
The mappool is nice. I guess there are 16 spots available?

Really good news to finally hear some confirmation for GSL events. Hoping they won't reduce the amount of tournaments at least for the 10 year anniversary.

I'm also happy to hear this, looks like a promising year to come.

Oh... Does this mean the end of Code S? Are the three Korean champs that qualify for EPT world championship just the winners of three Super Tournaments?
I'm very worried now.

I'm very worried now. Yeah it does seem really weird, it seems it is already decided Afreeca is running sc2 in korea and it is still GSL. So what are they stlil discussing about?
The timing of a super tournament straight off as a start does seem worryingly unusual, why do this if we are expecting just the normal Three code S during the year.
Worried as well

Is there any situation that does not worry you? The World Championship is happening further in time so it would make sense for Code S to start later during the year(after Katowice). There is no EPS in February but we will have a GSL Super Tournament, aren't you happy?

Yes. It seems weird to start with a super tournament.
Is it only me or has there been very few big tournaments since HSC? Giving HSC was a very nice upswing for the scene, it puzzles me that there is not more going on.

Looking at this (Premier Tournaments) and given how the new format will work, this does not seem worrying to me at least for the foreign circuit, compared to 2019. As for the korean circuit, we get a Super Tournament to start the year so it's cool, hopefully if there is a downgrade it's nothing too big.
Nation Wars was the last big tournament though (not that big/premier, but since there were Reynor+Serral and Stats/INno/soO I'd say it was still interesting for those who care about top level starcraft)

yooohoooo!!! Korean SC2!!

Seeing how Katowice is the new global finals, I imagine the three GSL seasons will take place after it. They have until March to wrap up all events instead of November now.
Plus if they kept to the old scedule, they would finish GSL/WCS korea by november and then have to wait 4-5 months until the global finals.

How can you know the 3 top KR plaeyrs are not taken from GSL ST 1, 2 and 3?
Can you quote the confirmation for me, obvious idiot, who can't see it?

Is my worry a problem for you? Is me discussing my feelings regarding starcraft 2 news in a starcraft 2 forum somehow aggravating you, making you angry or sad so that you need to lash out like this?
If so you probably shouldn't be here, if someone having feelings that does not mirror your own upsets you then don't seek out context where people discuss their various feelings and opinions. Take care of yourself.
No code S news worry me, some GSL news but no code S news worry me even more.
