All in all, we're pretty spoiled right now having 4 guys putting up what would be clear-cut MVP seasons if they weren't doing it at the same time. Definitely an exciting year for the NFL.

Seahawks, Patriots, (can ignore Bengals), Texans, Rams, 9ers, Bills....that's 6 winning teams in 7 weeks and 5 playoff locks. They're gonna shit on the 9ers and Bills. This is already the best team in football and they're improving noticeably every week. Dude scored touchdowns on every drive he played on the road on Monday night against Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. He's blown out both SB teams from last year. He's effectively sat out an entire game this season from not having to play 4th quarters and still leads the league in TDs, and now has a pretty healthy lead in QBR as well. Keep doubting him though, the Ravens do their best work as underdogs and Lamar is super motivated by that chip on his shoulder. I love how every talking head leading up the Texans game was like "yeah, if I were starting a team today I'd still rather have Deshaun than Lamar." Lol, ok, how'd that work out? You take Deshaun, we'll "settle" for Lamar. His win against the Seahawks was the first win against a team with a winning record (and he looked bad in the process and won because the D shutdown RW). Up til that point, they won vs bad teams and bad defenses, with the exception being the Steelers D. He had 5 straight weeks with a passer rating under 100 against mostly bad defenses in Sept - Oct. His dominated in his wins vs the Pats, Rams, and Texans, but his play has not been nearly as consistent as Wilson has been all season.

LJ also had terrible losses to the Browns and the Eagles who are both under 500 teams. Russel Wilson's losses are too the Saints and Vikings that are considered SB contenders. That matters come MVP voting time. Are people gonna really gonna vote for someone who got swagger-jacked by Freddy Kitchens and Baker Mayfield?

If Seattle finish as the fifth seed because of San Francisco, and Baltimore finish in the top 2 in the AFC (and get that bye week) then it might push more votes Jackson's way. This is how it would go in a normal season. I just think Lamar has the narrative so by the balls right now. Somehow you have some hot take artists calling people racist for preferring Wilson or Mahomes, lol

In the UK there has been a lot of attention on Jackson, but mainly because of how exciting he is to watch (same for Deshaun Watson). He is the MVP favourite but they say Wilson is quietly having an MVP season too. Moreover, Baltimore's defence is talked about alongside New England and San Fran as the best in the NFL so not all the credit for Baltimore's winning streak is given to Jackson, whereas Seattle is seen as more dependent on Wilson.

https://sports.yahoo.com/lions-xfl-quarterback-josh-johnson-interest-004214092.html A longtime NFL journeyman, Johnson had been a member of the Lions during the first month of the season before the team released him to make roster room for current starting QB Jeff Driskel. With Matthew Stafford out for several weeks with back fractures, the Lions were presumably looking to either shore up their quarterback depth or find a possible alternative to Driskel after his ghastly three-interception outing against Washington. Detroit Lions quarterback Josh Johnson throws against the Buffalo Bills in the second half of an NFL preseason football game in Detroit, Friday, Aug. 23, 2019. (AP Photo/Rick Osentoski) The Lions were blocked from a reunion with Josh Johnson. Johnson’s contract with the XFL got in the way of the Lions, as he had already been allocated to the Los Angeles Wildcats in the XFL’s supplemental draft. It’s not hard to see why the XFL would block the Lions; it’s hard to take a league seriously when its quarterbacks — the position the league is paying 10 times more than other positions — are being poached to hold a clipboard in another league. That means the Lions will have to look elsewhere for quarterback help, barring some kind of significant buyout.

Josh Allen has been very good. I severely underrated him.
