Maybe we should've been saying that the pairings helped some koreans appear in the later rounds Given the results it would indicate that the former may have been onto something

Meanwhile elazer's making the finals after not being an elite foreigner for two years. Maru's use of the ravens isn't a great comparison, literally every tournament during that patch had terran do terrible in terms of representation (with maru winning on his own). Zerg right now is at least doing very good.

Maru got stats'd, you give Maru a road with only Z & T and then he'd either have to hit Serral or TY to have a chance at defeat. Stats HAD to avoid PvP basically, he's favoured vs everyone else even Serral. Dark got ZvZ'd, it's his worst MU, and EU ZvZ is STRONK, I think mostly from training with Serral. So that's 3 of the strongest KR contenders basically getting really really bad bracket luck, the other top Koreans were all eliminated by... Serral, it looks one sided, but all you have to do is go back to ASUS ROG to see total korean domination ( Serral being the exception). Honestly even after this tournament, if you were to rate the top 8 players, it'd be Serral #1 followed by 7 Koreans. Plz calm down with the recency bias, GSL is still stronger than WCS.

Easy as that. Watch Dark and soO games vs Elazer and Serral Nothing to say more, atm gap between kr vs world is none. And Serral himself is a pure talent and practise machine. I remember when he start to show up at eu scene. He was 0-3 by Nerchio all the time. Then it was 1-3 2-3 and after some time....boom 3-1 3-0 3-0 3-0. I was like wtf.....didnt know best sc2 player was born in from of my eyes.
