I guess it's a more relevant thing if someone gets a bigger suspension. Seems almost petty to deny someone a season opener because something mundane that happened last season in a different league.

Klopp reveals Adrian got caught on the ankle by a supporter who slipped after invading the pitch. It's swollen and he may miss out tomorrow. Madness.

So what's the punishment for something like this? Ban from matches? Criminal charges? I've seen plenty of people invade the pitch but can't remember someone actually injuring a player

I can't judge the entire match of course, but from the highlights it looked like Ibarra was completely left alone on the right wing at times. Thanks for posting, I didn't know this cup existed. He was early in the game. We had our best defender on the bench to start the game (Miles Robinson) and subbed him in during the first half cause the RB tweaked his hamstring. Rearranged the defense and people finally started covering their man It's a new one off game they started last year between the reigning champs of each league. Tigres trashed Toronto last year

The guy slipped, calling that intentional is gonna be a stretch, also it happened in turkey so they just throw him out any way and call it a day. Liverpool banning him seems likeliest

Have the suspensions always worked over the European domestic leagues or is this a more recent thing? I guess it's a more relevant thing if someone gets a bigger suspension. I dont know exactly when was the rule introduced but it is not something new.

Speaking of Bayern, 2-2 vs Hertha in opening game of Bundesliga. Berlin scored 2 goals doing nothing all game and should feel blessed to walk away from Munich with a draw. From my very subjective point of view the referee and VAR were terrible in the first half.

Coutinho definitely has the potential to do great, I'm sure he's keen to show his skills again. The reason Barca paid over 100 million for him. Apparently he didn't like that Barca were trying to use him as part of the Neymar deal.
