The Netherlands fans might be the most toxic I've seen so far. Can't wait for GP of Netherlands next year. btw no Hockenheim next year. But hey, we have a brand new Tilke street circuit in Vietnam. The boredom is just not enough this season. Who is toxic? Maybe you did see a different race than me? The cheers were for Verstappen to be first place. Also, Hockenheim is not that exciting on good weather as well as any other track. You cant compare it to a track we have never seen yet....

Get in there Lewis! Yeah, Lewis might think it was a shit race, but considering he went off twice in the last corner(once on slicks), both times into gravel and once into the wall, without race ending damage(whether by luck or skill), he got off super lightly. I think it was around 50/50 on offs in that corner resulting in race ending damage. What a crazy race it was.

These exciting races have largely been caused by less than optimal track conditions: Massive heat or spotty rain. From now on the temperatures are probably going to normalise again, leaving us yet again with boring races and predictable results. Also Hungaroring is a massively shit track

Bottas had his front wing damaged by Leclerc later on Lap 1 as claimed by Skysports. Clearly it wasn't the contact with Hamilton eariler

The difference between Verstappen and Gasly is mind boggling, though. What a sad season for him.

He has had good cars in his career, but he also has almost always outperformed his team mate. Nice race overall. The Toro Rosso wheel to wheel fight was sick. The difference between Verstappen and Gasly is mind boggling, though. What a sad season for him. I wonder if they'll even want to demote him to Toro Rosso vs just getting rid of him completely. I struggle to see him get another seat in F1. If he does, can't even begin to think how many years of spectacular performances he'd need before another top team would take him. I've become a huge fan of Leclerc, I'm looking forward to a future, I'm really looking forward to that Verstappen/Leclerc rivalry in the years to come. Im always a little shocked how hard it's to predict tire wear for the teams, at least it makes for a lot of exciting races.

Iirc Red Bull doesn't have any rookies that would be up for the toro rosso seat if they tossed Gasly. Gasly is in a crappy situation where he's up against a driver widely considered to be the next Hamilton, a driver who can pull off miracles and out drive expectations in any car. Verstappen lives and breathes to race. Lando Norris was streaming iracing on twitch with verstappen til 3am the night after the race. I don't think very many of the other drivers have that same dedication to racing.

Sim racing is great fun, I got into it 1,5 years ago and I don't regret a thing. Might even buy a direct drive wheel one day. @Gasly: I don't understand why he's racing so passively. Almost no overtakes, no real hot stints, just nothing. A driver of his caliber should be able to adjust to a car. But maybe Verstappen is just THAT good.

Norris also streams regularly, and is often joined by Max as they're on the same iRacing team. (Also, on a sidenote, i got lucky enough to end up in the same practice lobby as Max last week..can confirm, dude is quick). They also just won Spa 24h a couple of weeks ago. Would have had laps to spare too if Max hadn't broken is brake pedal with only half an hour to go, and had to tow the car back so Norris could take over. On Gasly: Max is really that good, but Riccardo was nearly as good as him last year (if you ignore all the car breakdowns). So if he had any ability to drive that car he should at least be much closer. As it is right now, I wouldn't be surprised if they swap him for Albon during the mid season break. It really is not ok to be repeatedly lapped by your teammate in races without incidents.
