I actually feel remarkably better so I'll probably try with deloaded amounts next Monday if I feel good :DD

Called it there because I wasn't in the right mental space for the rest of the workout, I'll try it again tomorrow and probably put up 465 instead with better preparation. Hopefully now that things feel nailed down, I can get something out of this next training block and wind up back at least at my previous PR if not stronger.

Wouldn't really call it a training session. I warmed up, went for the top set and called it there when I couldn't pull it. No backoff sets, no RDLs or good mornings, no lat pulldowns or rear delt flies that I would have followed it with, just cleaned off the bar and left. I'm up 1-3 lbs depending on the day from when I started this training block 11 weeks ago which is right where I want to be. Just a lot of little things that were off about the day and I think I'll give it a better shot with a do over.

I'm doing them for 10-ish reps with around 135 at the moment, and they're probably something I'll come back to in the future, but not something that's useful enough to me right now that I'm going to continue doing them as I enter my actual strength/Meet prep block.

I finally broke my 225lb bench plateau of years last month Some technique is starting to finally click after all this time.

I wonder if Luck was on some hardcore NSAIDs for his shoulder when he injured his calf. People on hardcore anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) for many months and develop a new injury while on the NSAIDs often struggle to heal from the newly acquired injury. According to the rheumatologist in my family this happens to arthritis patients a lot. "The body is its own best healer."

Andrew Luck used some European thing called Regenokine as an anti-inflammatory. Its pretty experimental and not approved in the USA. Not many NFL-ers take their quest to reduce inflammation as far as Andrew Luck has.

I pretty much never take it for rugby, maybe a few times a year for weightlifting meets. Never understood the point of masking pain consistently instead of just fixing the pain.

Yesterday I pulled 8x182.5kg (400lb) for Deadlifts. Not majorly impressive, even for my standards, but it is still a rep PR on a day where nothing moved as fast as it should have.

Hit 130 snatch/150 cj yesterday with close misses at 135/160. About 6 weeks out from comp where I'll need a 301 total to qualify for the american open and 305 to qualify for nationals
