The Code S Ro32 continued with Dear and FanTaSy advancing from Group G, while GuMiho became yet another former champion to suffer first round elimination. Surprisingly, it was the pair of players returning from the military service who handed GuMiho his defeats. Armani patiently picked apart GuMiho's mech composition with Swarm Hosts in consecutive games, while FanTaSy edged out a 2-1 victory by staving off GuMiho's harassment in two out of three games.
The 'highlight' of the night came was the final decider match between Armani and FanTaSy. After looking clinical against GuMiho's mech, Armani was tackled and dragged down for brawl in the dirt by FanTaSy's bio. After three scrappy, error-laden, and all-around entertaining games (even including a classic 'FanTaSy GG timing' on New Repugnancy), FanTaSy escaped the group with a 2-1 victory. While even FanTaSy admitted to being somewhat embarrassed with his performance in his post-match interview, at least he will have a chance to make up for it in the Ro16.
The Code S Ro32 will conclude on Saturday, Jul 20 4:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) with Group G, featuring Trap, TaeJa, Solar, and Patience (check out Liquipedia for more information).
Dear again is showing a promising champion moves. But I haven't seen such bad games by Gumi. Hope he can recover fast next year. Fantasy is a fan favorite but he has a lot to prove yet. A lot. In the same time his pure bio play is very inspiring.
How on earth that the top tier Terran are suddenly losing so badly in their favorite MU? Inno lost a TvT to ... Keen and Gumiho got beaten by Armani? I don't understand, are they losing interest or motivation (like Inno said on his stream)?
