Also, I'm guilty for liking the first episode of the milf isekai.

DanMachi: first episode knocked it out of the park. Looks like we'll get two volumes this time around which is perfect imo (maybe need to slightly extend some stuff). + Show Spoiler + We finally got to see Bell and Aiz dance and it feels like the show picked up right after the first season instead of so long down the road. I think anime viewers will love these next 2 volumes, especially if the adaptation of the next volume manages to show off the emotions of it all. Dr Stone: first 2 episodes looked promising. Depending on how they approach it though, I feel like it can grow stale too. Wonder if we'll see some kind of power struggle in the future. Regardless, would recommend. Fire Force: first 2 episodes were great. Can't wait to see how things develop. Demon girl anime: really cute and reminds me of Usagi drop. I think this is going to be quite the gem if pulled off properly. Takagi-san: much like DanMachi, feels like things just picked up from where they left off. Vinland Saga: definitely watching this, but gonna wait till we get closer to episode 4 release. No point in watching 3 episodes and waiting 3 weeks for another Kanata no Astra: Wasn't expecting it to be as interesting as it ended up being, but I see it getting stale too so hopefully they change things up a bit + Show Spoiler + from planet to planet and how resource allocation is done. The mystery presented in episode 2 should help them quite a bit and of course, getting more info about those 2 other characters. Mom Isekai: first episode was ok. I think the idea is unique, but it depends on how it progresses. + Show Spoiler + I had a chuckle when the mom attacked the guild and then pulled 2 swords at once too! Arifureta: First episode was a bit bizzare, aka jumbled up and maybe a better direction would've been good, but second episode was much better and you get a good idea of the situation etc... It feels like an even emo-er version of shield hero haha. The OP is also just amazing, but visuals need work. + Show Spoiler + Interested to see just how much abilities the MC can amass, the combos with Yue, and the classmates reaction+revenge on the guy who almost killed him due to jealousy. If the anime does good world building, then it'll still be fun watching an MC that is this OP. Excited for this regardless! Isekai Cheat Magician: first episode was ok. Probably the worst Isekai from the lot this time around, but 1 episode isn't enough to go off of. Have to see if the characters and their interactions can make things interesting or not. Maou-sama: competing with Cheat Magician for worst though it can still be pretty comedic. Now if only the MC's voice is a bit lighter? Wait and see for now. Finally, AoT. I caught up with all the anime and finally got to the basement. I'm not sure if I like or hate the secret tbh. + Show Spoiler + Back when I read the manga like 5? years ago, there were a lot of people trying to guess what was going on. I kept hoping that it'll be something different than what we got, but I shouldn't be surprised since I knew the idea of human vs human moving forward. Still, I would like to see how things get settled, but the anime or maybe the source is being extremely edgy. They are killing everyone as well except the main 3 and like 3-4 others at best. Can't we have a bit more characters surviving? Did they really need to kill Erwin for Armin? I feel like killing Armin would've been really ballsy by the author, but guess he would've angered some of the fans? Just imagine if Erwin was alive, got titan powers and got the secret info! Not to mention they got 1 other titan, but lost both the beast and armored titan too. Feels like a huge slip-up considering that most of the unit was wiped out, including their leader. Well, at least Levi's fight with the beast titan was fantastic. All this to say that I'll watch the final season, but the secret should've been grander.

The fight between Julius and Licht was well animated too! Can't wait to see more of it.

For those who don't know what KyoAni is, its an animation studio that's made lots of popular anime in the past, like Clannad, Haruhi, K-On!, Sound! Euphonium, Maid Dragon, Violet Evergarden, and lots more.

i went by kyoani when i went to japan in 2015-16, the town its located in is pretty quaint - such a shame that something like this could happen to such an iconic animation studio.

Still, it's a tragedy that so many talented people lost their lives and others get permanently injured. maybe someone who works at some other place and was jealous?

Apparently he was never an employee there and also claimed the studio was plagiarizing him, so likely mentally unstable. A lot of talented directors and staff are still listed as missing. I hope they're ok, but regardless, the final list of victims will be a punch in the gut

Seriously, so many people who have brought so much joy to the world do not deserve such trauma, many dead, many will have burn marks on them for the rest of their life plus the memories of this massacre. Fuck the guy who did it. Rumors around that he did it because, as he claims, he got plagiarized and ripped off. How brainless do you have to be to try to hold the staff accountable for that in any situation.
