One Base Play is returning this June! The one-day event will be moving out of my house and into Left Click Lounge, the local gaming lounge in Minneapolis. The goal for this is to get players from Minnesota and surrounding states to be able to hang out, enjoy some StarCraft, and get to know one another a little bit. Whether you’re WCS Challenger tier or just a casual fan, please consider coming out and joining in!
When: Saturday, June 22nd, 2019
Doors open at 2pm, games begin at 3:30pm
Where: Left Click Lounge, 321 14th Ave SE #2, Minneapolis, MN 55414
Entry fee: $15 venue fee, tournament registration is free
Prize pool: StarCraft 2: $500 (50/30/12.5/7.5% spread)
Brood War: $75 ($50 1st, $25 2nd)
Prizes will be paid in cash
Format: Group play or double-elim, depends on number of attendees
Stream: twitch.tv/nivek706
Games played: There will be separate tournaments for both StarCraft 2 and Brood War. You can register for both, but if scheduling gets tough, you will need to choose one game to continue in.
As part of the $15 venue fee, players may use a computer at Left Click Lounge for the day, or bring their own PC. If choosing to use the PCs at LCL, please note that you must use their mouse and keyboard setup, as their configuration does not allow for swapping peripherals. If you would like to use your own mouse and keyboard, you must either bring your own PC, or coordinate to share a player-brought computer so you can swap out peripherals.
What to bring: (optional) your PC & monitor, keyboard, mouse, (highly recommended) a pair of in-ear headphones as we may use sound dampeners for broadcasted matches.

Please sign up in advance! This helps us plan the schedule and ensure everyone gets to play. Day-of registration will be allowed, but we have to make sure we stay within the capacity limit of the venue.
Volunteer opportunities: If you'd like to volunteer to commentate/observe, please let me know! Commentary will be pretty chill, with players rotating in if they'd like. Since I'm an old scrub, let's spare us all the doom of me commentating the whole tournament.
