But even then we remember races where pressure from behind would force him to make mistakes. Something Ham never does. and there we go again. Absolutely pathetic performance by Seb, what a joke. Cant wait for Ferrari getting them a proper #2 next to Lec.

This just shows how this sport is terribly mismanaged.

They should've waited for the telemetry data after the race and then decide. This just shows how this sport is terribly mismanaged. Nah they probably had his telemetry and saw that Vettel went full on the throttle way too early. I still think this is harsh but for fucks sake Vettel absolutely caused this situation himself with two fairly bad mistakes

Vettel's behaviour after the race was understandable but also kinda childish. Schumacher would have probably beaten up a steward, though.

I really liked Vettel's antics after the race. The 2 points they added to his Super License for it is a bit annoying, but it probably won't matter all that much.

Also what would have happened if Hamilton wasn't able to find his brake pedal in time and Vettel took them both out, would Vettel have got a grid penalty for the next race?

Just a good reminder of what Vettel does when car behind him is faster (which was barely the case in RedBull championship era).

He has defo lost his racing edge he used to be leading races forever, think he still holds certain records for leading the most laps etc, but since last year he makes so many unforced errors just like this weekend in Canada. Now whether you agree with the 5-second penalty, he made a huge mistake which has cost him the race again just like the huge mistakes he made last season which cost him a lot of races. Also what would have happened if Hamilton wasn't able to find his brake pedal in time and Vettel took them both out, would Vettel have got a grid penalty for the next race? That would have been a grid penalty, yes. Probably 5 places

lmao. guess its for the fastest lap at the end of the GP Bollard flying off is the most exciting part of the race Nvm Final 2 laps are exciting. Not bad for a 53 laps race where 51 laps are a procession Sucky for Norris for losing 3 places at the end after fighting mechanical issues for so long =/

F1 is a snoozefest. You gotta admit that Hamilton drove really well today. Fastest lap after fastest lap, amazing consistency.

Shame for Norris. He deserved that driver of the day. Did you see how much his car twitched on every single corner? He would have kept the place if Daniel hadn't pushed him off, and then he lost 3 places instead. Absolute massive unluck.

Looked extremely easy today for Lewis, has he broken Bottas? We will see in Austria which is probably Bottas' best track.

Whiny Hamilton as usual with Crofty busy defending him as usual Leclerc POLE! Pity for Bottas getting screwed by his own teammates so many times during Quali E: Hamilton gets 3 place grid penalty for impeding Kimi during Q1

Not to mention Red Bull is slowly but surely catching back up. They were clearly behind at the start of the year, and now they're getting to be roughly on the level of Ferrari and Mercedes. Well, at least one of the Red Bulls. Gasly has some serious work to do. He made a big mistake in Q3. Norris out-qualified him in a slower McLaren. Again. Even Christian Horner has been starting to voice his displeasure at Gasly's performances. Gasly might get one more year at Red Bull, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if they replaced him with Albon at some point. Albon was supposed to be a seat-filler and he has ended up being one of the breakout drivers of the season so far. He's doing better than Kvyat and Franz Tost has been talking him up a ton.

Hamilton grid penalty makes sense, glad they are keeping the same rules for everyone but being so far ahead of Vettel still it should be a fun race.
