People are sleeping on Dear, his PvP is a little weaker than his other matchups (though I'd give him the edge against anyone other than Trap, Stats, or Classic), but I think he can beat anyone in PvT or PvZ. Going on recent results Dear may even be favoured to win his group, and looking at the other groups his ro8 matches could well give him a clean path to the semis, at which point a couple of clutch series are all that separate him from the championship.

Dark and so many 2nd places? Dark is really good at getting to the RO4, I'll give him that. He's really good vs. foreigners not named Serral. But otherwise he's good until RO4. Dear can beat anyone. Until he meets someone like Maru in RO8 But since Maru is out, we can say he can beat anyone of the rest Stats is a little bit volatile recently, while getting to the finals in Poland he failed in GSL ST and Season 1 Code S. I wouldn't consider him a safe bet for 2018 anymore, but probably 3rd best in chances. Parting xD Is that a meme? Innovation? Maybe, if he can improve his PvT. Classic? OK. Trap? Not sure, but considering all the rest of JAGW is out he has a good chance, but he's fragile too IMO. Classic, Dear, Inno, Trap. Dark for 3rd - 4th place Dark horse soO.

What were you watching the last few years/months? soO is pretty consistently bad(compared to his HotS), his win at IEM is actually an exception to his recent form(mostly ro16). His PvP is as bad as soO's ZvP recently while two of his premier tournament exits were handed to him by Protoss (herO 3-0'd him at Katowice and Zest 3-1'd him at Super Tournament). Furthermore, Dear hasn't made it past the ro.8 this year which every single player on this list has done at least once. The PartinG one was a bit of fun but like I say, I think there's a very good chance that the GSL will be decided by who the best PvPer is and PartinG has been no slouch in that regard.

I enjoyed this, at least mostly because of Parting, one of my two True Protoss Loves, being shouted out. MC and Parting are the GOATs of my heart and any content about them is good.

No, I was making fun of it similalry to soO being consistent, his past consistency is being bad while randomly winning IEM. Edit> Bad for his past, similarly Parting is bad nowadays

Meaning weekenders and preparation tournaments both being taken into account. However, Classic is playing out of his mind in preparation tournaments right now. His builds and strategies are extremely well tailored. I give the advantage to classic in this Code S since it's preparation.
