through the tournament. I mostly just want to see more Saitama one-punch people. Also, more Garo and that monster heading towards the venue, hope we get a nice fight out of it! I think the biggest surprise this season though is Isekai Quartet. I figured this will be a total mess and didn't bother to check out an episode until recently. It's amazing just how good it is. I think what's really great is how they managed to maintain the same stuff from each anime. Example being + Show Spoiler + how Kazuma is always the head of the Konosuba gang and how he's always getting them or trying to, get them out of trouble. How Subaru is loved so dearly by Rem, but constantly being made fun of by Ram. Basically, the characters have retained their personalities really well and aside from the acceptance bit, everyone just makes the anime that much better. I would say though that the Konosuba is probably the best group followed by the Overlord one. Never watched the Tanya anime so no clue there while the Subaru group isn't bad/potentially on the level of the Overlord group at times (like that time when Darkness showed her usual when she asked Subaru to whip her with the army group rofl). I can only imagine this will be funnier now that groups have been made!

At the very least, they have no idea how to plan for long-term development in a manga. So many series have a great start before they run out of steam (and coherent ideas) halfway through the plot. Battle manga in particular have issues with this because of the need to continually one-up the previous thing. Remember when Shokugeki no Souma was at least partially grounded in reality? Feels like that happened ages ago. This is due to the magazine format rewarding short-term engagement over long-term storytelling combined with draconian deadlines. If you're pressured to churn out material week after week - which is competing with other chapters from other works within the same magazine - you lack the time to create story blueprints or fix deep-seated issues within your own writing. It's generally more rewarding to hook readers in with a intriguing setup or focus on character dynamics over plausibility. Only a few mangakas and directors like Gen Urobuchi emphasize coherent, complete plot during their writing process. If tankobon were the primary publishing model we would see writers shift to match the incentives. On May 15 2019 15:36 BigFan wrote: Anyways, latest episode of OPM wasn't too bad. We damn well know how it's going to end (and not with Saitama winning lol). Praying Garou vs a certain S-Class hero gets the animation it deserves. One of my favorite parts of the manga.

"Maybe we should get out of this hole" "Nah, but I will spend ten minutes doing a stealth recap of the previous twenty episodes" Meanwhile, Goku charges the spirit bomb.

I think that has it's limits. At least in the group run by my friend he tried to quantify that to be clear on it in an attempt to not have a discussion à la "what can you really say in 10 seconds?" everytime so it ended up "if you say no more than 3 words it counts as a free action", which imo is waaaaaaay too harsh. I can def say a 4 word or even a 10 word phrase in a single round if I don't make a point of using super long words on purpose. But at the same time you obviously don't get to hold a monologue spanning minutes in a free action. Tricky situation. Not sure if there's anything specific on it in the rules (we play 3.5 and 5)

You'll be glad you did at the end of that season. There's also a movie to check out that plays into the events...after season 2? I know the main character is annoying at the beginning, but he gets overshadowed by some of the other characters around the halfway point.

If so, I sort of agree. I didn't really find the main character annoying, but he is far from the most interesting character. The show spends plenty of time on other character's and it gets really good. Stick with it.
