Zerg = Macro race. You produce heavily and even though you lose 60 zerglings in 10 seconds, you can make 60 more in less than a minute Terran= Micro race. You get a few marines and medics and micro them so that they kill shitload Its really up to your taste. Try playing with both and see which feels better for you

ZvP, heavily macro oriented, cost effective units make the wave after wave assaults against a toss to diminish his fortification. ZvT: Heavily timing oriented, arguably the most demanding mu for Zerg, requires a strong mix of macro/micro and unit composition to keep the game in balance. ZvZ: Build order and micro, macro is minimal. TvZ: A strong mix of two, cost effective marines + medics make it a flexible mu for aggressive play, or simply to go for a large massive ball of death with intensive macro focus, ala iloveoov. TvP:Mostly macro oriented, aggressive openings make it a tedious micro game of watching the mines and positioning though. always have to keep your unit count up with the toss, and even if you can kill 12 goons with 12 vults, it doesn't mean jack shit when the toss builds back 40 more units while you stack up 1000 minerals while you were microing. Harassment with dropship, vulture, and the use of sci vessel for emp/dmatrix are pretty much the only micro decisions for mid-late game. TvT:Varies with openings, but arguably the hardest matchup in the game. Small amounts of units can pack serious amounts of damage against considerable odds, and the game flow is very much like chess. Long games are common, patience and frustration go hand in hand, as an opponent with a weaker micro or macro can be capable of beating you with simply a better utilized tactic. All your mechanics and intuition must be finely tuned to be a strong TvT player.

TvZ is definitely really tough, T always has to be on the move and kill Z expos before there are swarms at the T base, or over 9000 ultralisks. And marines and medics are friggen hard to use, but hey at least they're expandable and if you macro good you can have a new army ready to go. Also don't forget that on some maps (or if you're just really ballsy) you can play mech vs. Z which is fun from time to time. I'm not if it'll suffice as a main strategy so learning to use some bio is definitely needed. Overall what I like most about the Terrans is that they're the best suited towards making a comeback when behind. In TvT, a few quick drops, one big drop, or one well-micro'd battle can really bring you back. Heck, just out-thinking the other guy can bring you back. I remember winning a blue storm TvT where we split the map, I was always behind on resources though, but I caught him as he was switching to BCs. In TvP, the natural defensive/turtle nature of mech builds just gives you loads of opprotunities to live when down multiple bases and dozens of supply. And for TvZ, well like I said you're always gonna have new groups of units to work with if you macro right, and one pimp move to take down a critical expo can swing the game back. Also, the relative difficulty of a match-up/race is related to your current skill. For example Toss is obviously the easiest to use at lower levels, but it'll get exponentially harder as you get better because 1a2a3a4a stops working after some time. With Terran, it starts off really hard because those types simple tactics never work. Just think of a simple TvP push. First you have to scan the toss army, then you have to set-up mines, then you have to pick a good spot to siege, and OH don't forget you have to spread those tanks before you siege. However you learn this stuff while you're relatively new, and it becomes second nature to you eventually. I was actually amazed at Protoss players finding it hard to hotkey unit types individually and micro against pushes once 1a2a3a4a isn't a legitimate win strategy anymore. See as a T player I'm used to hotkeying vultures and tanks separately, and doing different things with both groups at once. But my Protoss friend couldn't fathom grouping his zealots individually and just moving them towards tanks (to drag mines) while attacking with dragoons and (gasp!) using stasis on tank clumps. But Ts are forced to learn good mechanics earlier, which makes it so later on this stuff is second nature and they can focus on strategy and better macro. Zerg is pretty middle-of-the-road imo, not especially tough macro but the micro is needed as well, just try engaging terran balls with lurk/ling flanks. Oh I hear ZvP becomes ridiculously gay at like C- level and above because of how easy the P has it compared to how much the Z has to do to come out on top, that might be another thing to keep in mind. I probably went off-topic several times, but hopefully something in here was helpful. To restate: I think you should choose Terran.
