I think overall these are well done and address two scenarios that will surely infuriate any beginner-Terran a lot, so kudos to you for doing this. Just a handy tool to go through the basic steps a couple of times (pull scvs asap, keep pumping marines/scvs, position everything, micro against enemy AI). One can also practice a hotkey-setup for these early game situations for example.
Obviously what one misses with these is the surprise-factor and the opponent's micro. Sometimes the AI-lings/-zealots get locked on a fleeing SCV and ignore the rest. But if a newb can comfortably beat these scenarios vs the AI then he/she will surely do better and have more confidence in a real game.
If you plan to make more of these (as you did the vulture-map also) then maybe put them all in one appropriately named thread ("New Terran Micro Maps 2019" or something).
And then maybe try to get that thread linked in existing, beginner-friendly sticky-threads or on Liquidpedia. I guess few people have reacted here so far because the majority of active players don't need these kind of maps any more, but it would be a shame if the few people looking for this in the future wouldn't see it.
Thanks for the feedback
I'll put them all in one thread in the future. It happened this way because I started by just making a vulture map, but then I decided to make another one and so on...
One question out of curiosity: why did you decide to not set up the zealot-map in a more "realistic" scenario like the ling-map? With the zealot coming up a ramp and a bunch of SCVs mining so that you have to pull some?
This has to do with the time between attempts. The fundamental subject (managing SCV and marine formation) is the same regardless, so you can just apply to a real situation. It also takes more time to make.
Also I think that for the zealot map a second, harder scenario (2-3 marines vs 2 zealots) could be useful to step it up after one can deal with the one zealot. edit: and what about a probe?[
Great suggestions, I will implement those when I get around to it
