Movie is a good player, but his strength is in decision making, game knowledge, game sense, and doing slightly odd things. His weakness is micro/macro, although they're still decent. I still find Movie's play extremely strange, because by proxying on Camelot he's playing into his weakness. If Larva had gone 12 hatch, he might have been alright, but there was no way he was going to out-micro Larva. Circuit Breaker was also very strange. He didn't do an all-in but went for gateway pressure and either messed up his build or played very risky.
Going gateway first can be great and it applies a lot of pressure. But it also forces the zerg to make lings, and if you can't pin him in his base with your zealot pressure, and you have no cannon at your natural- well you saw what happened. Movie just seemed really off today.
I don't see a big problem for JD. He should be able to deal with hero and needs to win against ssak probably on CB. With some practice I'm sure he can do it.
Maybe JD was feeling a bit melancholic. We dont know what he feels. It also just might be that he does not care to stand around awkwardly with the others if he does not feel like chatting around at that moment. He is the Tyrant and can do whatever if you ask me.
I'm pretty unsatisfied with the groups. I wanted more evenly balanced skill across the groups. It does not feel right that any of those zergs in group A will go to the ro8 in this way. Has it always been the way that the title-holder can do the last minute switch?
I think Jaedong has pretty good chances advancing 2-1, considering he plays vs Ssak first on Andromeda, and then most likely Ssak again on CB in the final match.
lmao about group A and B... and Best should advance pretty easily as well, yipieh!
Lol, that is just silly.

Yeah, the new map seems really unbalanced, Terran is really strong on it in both matchups and Protoss is really limited in their possibilities to play it.
Outsiders was always a fun but unbalanced map.
Especially without the team houses to really train and break maps down I don't think having 2 wonky maps in a map pool of 3 was a good idea. It did not give us many good games.
Really really looking forward to the Ro16, man I am so happy that Brood War is back and growing!

It's not that bad of a group I expect him to pull through. And their side of the bracket will be easier, so Ro4 isn't impossible for him to do.
I think there aren't bracket "sides". Ro8 will be randomly picked. At least that's how ASL2 went.
I didn't remember that. Thanks for the correction. But did they limit that 1st can only play vs. a 2nd placed opponent? That would suddenly make it much harder for him.
Yes, there are two pools. And players who played in ro16, can't face each other again in ro8.
