I don't agree with you guys. Plenty of pros still play 20-30 games a day which I consider a significant amount far beyond "entertainer who happen to play BW".
Also, most of them retained their "glory" shape from 2010-2012. I've been constantly watching and playing bw since then and see no big difference neither in strategies or execution. I also believe that because everyone can learn from each other (beauty of streams) the level has increased as there are less unknowns for players in regards to both mechanics and strategy.

No need to argue. They are here to troll obviously

That article is from july Mr. Know-It-All. The talk on the past few pages is about recent announcements.

That was before the end of the contract between JD and EG.

They are right though (but I too disagree with the "entertainer" statement) since the lack of teams, regular tournaments etc makes them amateur players by default. The number of games played, the quality of those or the hours played each day don't matter in the distinction between a pro and amateur player.

Oh, we haven't had this 'professional or not' discussion in a while! I think the next statement is supposed to be: 'Earning a living from doing something means you do it professionally'. Or was it 'you need to be paid by an organization to be called a professional'? Hm. Or 'you need to play in official events to be called a professional'? No.. no, that wasn't it.. Hm..

Even TL itself recognized the specific scenes as there were the professional one (Kespa) and the amateur one (Afreeca). The latter had tournaments too and tipping has always been a thing, so nowadays it's just like it was back then. With the dissolution of the professional scene, the amateur one doesn't become the professional one just because the latter stopped existing.

Ever heard of amateur boxing? That doesn't mean those boxers are bad or don't put in serious work. Many amateur boxers make a living off boxing.

Sorry for old question. But is it true that 424 is jaedong and he is really still good even now? Better than effort? Man can't wait for his afreeca stream. He is going to be make so much money from all those balloons

Didn't know that TL is the only forum where you read from bottom up and didn't see the former mod edits. Searched for the important information on the bottom or at least the other information (the not so relevant anymore information) to be hidden (spoiler tag?). But yeah, was propably overexcited after the headline, saw the (outdated) mod edit and thought "awww crap!".

Does anyone know what jaedong is doing at blizzcon? is he making an appearance for a SC panel or just hanging out and enjoying the event

The sequence of mod edit #3, mod edit #2 and mod edit should have been simple enough to imply which one is the latest. Also, IIRC, when this thread was first posted, people were complaining about how the new information was at the bottom, so the latest mod edit was put on the top.
edit - it is most probably the excitement. I mean who won't get this excited

At this point I am pretty sure he's there as his last goodbye to the foreign fans he has and with EG. I could be wrong though.
