It's capricious, wilful, unbalanced. I'll feed a weaker player to someone on a hot-streak just to make that hot-streak longer. I'll put players together who otherwise wouldn't meet in a normal format because it's fun to watch. If you want fairness you can watch literally any other event. Fairness isn't our priority. A pro gamer should be ready to fight anyone, any time without complaint and if they don't want that well they don't have to come play with us. There are adequate rewards for stepping up to the plate, both in terms of prize money if they can win and the chance to play against players they'd usually never run into. That results in a unique event that puts storylines and viewer enjoyment above everything else, it gives people the foreigner vs Korean and "what if?" matchups they asked for. Fairness is the last thing we're thinking about. The whole event sounds great and this statement is making it even greater! :-)

Just fewer foreign ZvZs please, last time it was rather anti-climatic when a foreign zerg on a hot streak was knocked down in a most unpredictable mirror match atm. by another foreign zerg (also we've got plenty of these duels already in various weekly cups). Korean vs. non-Korean ZvZ would be more interesting.

I think he didn't really voluntarily do that as much as those were just the players he told to be available at the time and it just turned out that Nerchio, Stephano and TLO had to kill each other.
