Alcohol and beer should be required to have the nutrition facts just like other foods. Most beers (12oz) even shitty Coors lights are at least 100 calories each, And lots of beers get up to 160ish (same as soda basically). I recently discovered that even hard alcohol like vodka and shit is gonna be like 60 calories or so, not even including chasers. All beers should also show Alcohol % by volume as well. Most do not.
Also, all products and chemicals should be required to show ingredients. Lots of times I'll have some chemicals or body products that do not tell what are in them and that can be dangerous if you mix them. Besides I just want to know what I am cleaning my house with or rubbing on my body in the shower.
This is kind of a no brainer, why haven't they done this?
Often times when I drink I end up drinking 8-10 beers (or more) and thats equal or greater than what I have eaten that day in calories/sugars.
If its consumable (one way or another) it should have an ingredients info label.

Yeah, I agree. What pisses me off most are the beers that don't show alcohol percent. Like if you're too scared to put the alcohol percent of your beer on the can because it is so pussy low raise the damn alcohol percent.

Okay, I'm going to sign your non-existant petition in the hopes the beer companies listen to the fury of the internet

If youre drinking that much that often, I dont think nutrition values are gonna solve your problems. (RE: beer gut)

The misleading thing about light beers is that they are same Alc % but not all the fattening shit or whatever. Just like diet coke is still bad for because of aspartame or phenylananine (sic) etc.
A light beer is gonna be 100 calories (just a little less than your average cola), most beers are around 120~140. Thats only a little bit less calories than a regular beer. Even darker shit like Newcastle or Guinness is not much greater in calories. Its stupid, misleading, and pisses me off because when I go to parties everyone is drinking garbage brands like coors, bud, miller lights.

I always thought that beer just made you hungry which in turn made you eat more = makes you fatter.
Oh well, still enjoying my delicious Staropramen right now.

In germany the % of alkohol is written on the bottles, but how much calories are in it is not displayed. But the ingredients are written on the bottles, too. There are only three ingridients you are allowed to use to brew beer with the german purity law: Hops, malt and water.
On a side note. As i read "Sign My Pe..." on the left side i was thinking about you wanting us to sign your penis. As i think of it its weird that i clicked on the blog, but whatever. :D

So don't drink beer if you don't want the calories. Problem solved.
And what does people drinking shitty beer at parties have to do with your 'petition?' I drink shitty beer because its cheaper and when I'm drunk, a beer is a beer whether its Guinness (which I actually hate) or Natty Ice.

Yes, also shotguns should have warning labels.

the world is full of poisons and those making money off of them won't care about health until they are on the line. but then they don't care cause they have all the money to pay the doctors. welcome to the fucked up world.
MSG, nicotine, aspartame, pesticides, GM foods, growth hormones, crackberry (whatever they put in there), fluoridated water, mercury vaccinations, lead contianing crystalline fructose, cortisone shots that only destroy your ligaments even more, censorship of true cures like vitamin b17 for cancer, prolotherapy for true musculoskeletal cures, and patent #5676977...
