1. Double elimination final bracket. Korea will most likely roll over everyone and they can potentially eliminate the two other best nations in the tournament if the draw is unfortunate, resulting in a rather anti-climactic finals. Maybe make the loser bracket matches bo3 instead of bo5 to make it happen?
2. 4 player teams with no revive system. Deeper rosters + sniping that key player (and there are quite a few teams that rely on a single person doing very well) would mean so much more. Deciding which player plays when would have more impact, as well. I entirely disagree with the first change. Double elimination just draws out the tournament way too much and reduces viewer interest. A bo3 or bo5 also doesn't work at all with nation war's format. The second change could be okay. It would probably mean lower quality games on average though. All the games in NW3 are Bo5 now. They're BO9 actually. We're both wrong, they're Bo7 (as in a maximum of 7 games can be played). Bo5 LB would work well, my opinion. Unless wikipedia is incorrect all matches are BO9 from here on out: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/NationWars_IIIAs in maximum of 9 games can be played. Edit: Unless you mean, the losers bracket last round should have been BO5 and not Bo7, but I think the group stage worked pretty well as BO7 personally.
Yeah, liquipedia does list the playoffs as Bo9s. I haven't seen that anywhere though. All the announcements only mentioned bo7 afaik. Is liquipedia wrong?

How would Bo9 work with 3 players?

Or play the substitute player.

I'll sig-bet on that if anyone is interested. I'm a total fanboy of course, but I really wouldn't put it past Scarlett to bring Canada all the way to the final. Her play currently has that particular vibe that it's always had during those times when she's been able to take games of the very best. Also her most lethal potential opponents on the way to the final are all zerg - and her ZvZ is pretty killer when she's in the zone.

Sorry Frenchies ... and you should have voted for Ptit Drogol to be in your team instead of Stephano ... even if Stephano is a better drinker ...

All their wins have come from MLord, so we don't really know how good Stephano and Lilbow are. I would wager that HuK could take on Lilbow, and Desrow....might be able to take on Stephano. Also...ceremonies with HuK, YES!

That's a good point. 2 revives seem weird...

well they put China and Korea together. I am wondering if NWIII can fix a better time for them? watching innovation losing 8 scv to one ling is painful.

i'm disappointed that people did not give a chance to ptitdrogo

This is a natural result of a selection process which is essentially a popularity contest. I doubt more than a very small fraction of people tried to sabotage other teams--I don't think most people are nationalistic enough.
PtitDrogo is the sub, so I guess if Stephano is too hungover to play, he comes out?

Liquipedia is wrong, everything is BO7 except final is BO9.
For people that want 4 players/team it's almost impossible to get "low tier" countries to get a 4th player and even country like NZ would not be able play.

So how will the finals work? Two revives or will the substitute player also play?

Then could we imagine a rule forbidding the double revival of the same player? Imho it d make things more interesting. Then again i suppose the rules are already set. Anyways, great competition! Aeromi you rock!!

Drogo is a nicer guy than Lilbow , but even if lilbow havn't showed much from now we could expect lot more from him. Stephano was obviously a wrong pick , i would have clearly voted for GodCake but he is banned from ogaming's tournaments for a while. Mlord is a troll whith childish behavious but he's the most talented player of this team.
Mlord FC Lilbow would have been the best team.
